Barrio’s Reviews
I celebrated my baby’s first birthday at Barrios, and we had an amazing experience. The food and service were outstanding…they were very professional, accommodating, and responsive.
A big thanks to Kuya Chris, who helped a lot in making my baby’s celebration organized and smooth-flowing. And to the chef/owner, Kuya Nino…all the food was terrific!
My guests were very happy and satisfied. Highly recommended!
We’ve always loved Barrio’s but when a supplier where I usually order is fully booked for our event, had to try Barrios and no regrets! Thumbs up for the pork barbecue, crispy pork kare- kare, fresh spring roll and fish fillet party trays. I don’t eat pork so I haven’t really tried the crispy pork and menudo. Luckily, they were able to arrange delivery from Halifax to Kentville! What a pleasant treat to share with our guests the good food prepared by Barrio’s.

Great job Nino, went to the new location a few days ago food was 10/10 .. and the servers were very nice and friendly .. I’d love to go back once that pool table is up. Great job to the whole team as well. Presentation of the food was just fantastic, if you enjoy Filipino cuisine I would highly recommend this place !! Sorry not the best picture but don’t let that fool you.
Menu
Barrio’s offers flavorful Filipino food in a lively Western-style bar setting. The crispy pork hock (crispy pata) is consistently good, and the palabok was tasty with generous portions. The skewers remain popular among customers. The vegetable dish (Pinakbet) has a special twist that surprised many. The fried pork belly in karekare is highly recommended, praised for its crunchiness and flavor, even when taken to go. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is vibrant with good music like The Relics playing. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy Filipino dishes such as karekare and topsilog, along with refreshing Caesars. The location and ambiance match the excellent food and service, making it a top choice for Filipino cuisine. However, some customers noted a limited beer selection, especially local beers, and drink prices tend to be a bit high.
