“Great philipino food, reminds me of hometown, even though I never been to Philippine but my mind tells me it's flavor of food comes from hometown. Gives me vibe of dine with family at home even though I never have a happy family to have dinner together with. My cat loves your pork too.“
“I've had their BBQ pork skewers or Pinoy BBQ many times. Great taste and price for a quick bite downtown. Usually open Thursdays-Saturdays (weather depending)Ask for the skewers at the bottom if you want the juicier ones! The ones on top can be a little dry.“
“We came here on a busy tuesday night because we were craving for hearty filipino comfort food and we were nOt disappointed! The crispy pork knuckles was crispy and crackly outside and flavorful and tender inside. The Fresh vegetable springroll was a hearty meal at 2 pcs per order and the caldereta has a smoothness that reminds me of classy restaurant fare in manila! We will definitely be back for more!“
“This restaurant is INCREDIBLE. I've never had Filipino cuisine before, and this food is genuinely some of the best food I've ever had. I ordered "Soup combo 1" which includes congee, tokwat baboy, buchi and a drink. The soup (congee) is a beef broth base with rice and chives. It is hot (temperature), incredibly flavourful and so comforting. The tokwat baboy is a dish with crispy pork and tofu in a soy/sesame sauce with onions and chives. When I say crispy I mean TO PERFECTION. It had a beautiful crust on it with a juicy, flavourful interior. The buchi is a rice ball of sorts with a bean paste inside and a sesame seed crust. It leaned towards a sweet and was a lovely thing to enjoy my coffee! My coffee was also excellent. They brought me a tall cup brimming with a rich blend. The food came fast, fresh, and steaming. The atmosphere and service have a very down-to-earth, local family restaurant feel.Overall this hole-in-the-wall place in Fairview, Halifax is to die for.“
“Always consistent with regards to the quality of their food. Even after almost a week in our fridge, taste still the same?. Downside is they are always late. Funny though, people (including me) still go back to have their meal here regardless of being not on time and the parking is so tight. But you have to understand the situation, only 2 people runs the resto, the chef and the boss. And at the end of the day, it is the food and the good personality of the owner matters really.“
“MUST TRY! If you’ve never had Pilipino food before you want to try their fried chicken! If you’ve ever tried Joolybee fried chicken, this is just as good! Best deal on the go is their all you can eat chicken for approximately $16 plus tax! The staff is supper nice and will explain the menu to you and adjusted as you like!“
“We stop by a different restaurant for lunch but neither my partner or myself will wait 30 minutes for lunch so we stopped by Ala Eh! Eatery right next door. My husband and I enjoy eating out and have gone to many, many restaurants since we moved to Nova Scotia this was one best lunches. The food was terrific and very well priced and the women who I assumed was the owner was a great hostess. Highly recommend this stop for a great meal and affordable prices.“
