Best local coffee shop around. Great variety of sweets and the samosas are really amazing. They also have amazing iced chai and a cute space to camp out in for doing work or reading.

Friendly staff with lots of options (some of which are glitter and rainbow colors in your espresso beverages!) Prices are decent and they've got the option to buy a coffee and pay it forward for someone who may not have the funds. Very inclusive and welcoming space. Thanks, GB team!

Fair enough coffee, impolite service. Like, say hello. Y'all can do it.

What a lovey and cozy neighborhood cafe. On a very cold winter day while visiting Halifax, I ordered what had to have been the best hot chocolate ever. I highly recommend it.My husband was able to find a cozy table and get some work done and drink lattes, he was perfectly happy. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. On my next trip to Halifax, I'm definitely returning!

Adorable place with a very charming atmosphere. Unfortunately, their Sold Out signs on their chalk menus aren't always kept up-to-date throughout the day, so as a result I've only had drinks there so far...but that dosen't stop them from making delicious lattes. The staff can occasionally be hit-or-miss for speed (think getting distracted and sometimes waiting a few minutes to start your drink, if there's no pressure from a line-up behind you.) but I think that's mostly due to some of them being VERY young and still getting their footing, so I really don't mind. They're also always very friendly and the spot has their 'Queer safe-space' reputation for a reason - its the perfect spot for a peaceful breath.

Atmosphere looks quaint inside, like a nice place to study or chat! However, baked goods are left open on top of display with flies on them, ew - they need covers. A few people entered and waited in line for a while without a single hello or acknowledgment - not very welcoming and doesn’t encourage people to stay.

Service is friendly and kind, the food is good. The space itself is airy and quaint, and most importantly welcoming and safe. I want to use the word "magical" to describe what Glitter Bean has created, but that brushes aside the very real effort that's obviously been put in to make this place what it is.
