I travel for work and I'm always on the lookout for authentic African cuisine. I recently discovered this gem of a restaurant, which is probably one of the best African restaurants I've ever been to. I loved it so much that I brought some back to my dad in Ontario and he absolutely loved it, especially their assorted stew. Their food quality, service, and pricing are all excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and personally wish I could bring the whole place back to Ontario with me.Parking: Never had an issueKid-friendliness: It’s a family restaurant. Kids are always welcomed. It’s also very spacious.Wheelchair accessibility: Very easily accessible!

Took my kids there to try African cuisine. The food was pre-cooked and cold. We asked for a pricelist but the person at the counter said that they do not have a pricelist, I needed to select the dish first and then she would give us the price. So my elder chooses rice and chicken. The price of this dish is $29 plus tax. So one person eats for $33. Since this was way too expensive, the rest of us didn't order. I had to ask my other kid to share with her sister.This is not a restaurant where you are served at the table. Food is not freshly prepared but pre-cooked yet more expensive than some fine dine restaurants downtown. I am terribly disappointed by both service and food.And this is definitely not value for money. The quantity of rice was ofcourse was a lot for a person but not needed. Spending 30-40$ per person for a family of 4 is something we would do on a special occasion not for a dinner after work on a Monday afternoon.

I searched for the restaurant and found this location by the virtue of word Buka. My experiences was good .my honest opinion- it's a good place. You will always find complaint but overall I enjoyed the food . Vaule for my money.

The food is a topnotch. They food is so much i cant finish a plate at once. Is a meal i balance well in the comfort of my home to eat so i sleep off immediately after eating.That is what Hally Buka meals does to me.....so relaxing. More strength to you
Wonderfully different for a native Haligonian. The smoked jolof is to die for. The complex flavour stays on your mind until your next visit. The food has a very authentic, rustic feel that reminds you of cooking outdoors on an open fire. Enough spicy heat without it being overpowering. I keep meaning to take some leftovers home with me but end up cleaning my plate. I will be back many times.
