As someone who travels for work and has celiac disease I am always on the lookout for a new spot with lots of different options that are gluten free.
I was absolutely tickled to find easy street diner in Halifax today while down in Nova Scotia for work. they had the most extensive gluten free menu I've ever seen. I will start with the positives: went this weekend for the first time and got the eggs benny. Hollandaise sauce was home made and one of the best I’ve ever had.
Now the not so great: waiting for a good meal is not an issue for me. However this place seems to wait until they have a lot of people in the lobby waiting to be seated and then once they do they sit us all at once. I went here as the reviews were good. Can't believe reviews. I had the worst Eggs Benedict I have ever had. Asked for soft eggs and they were hard, the muffin was so stale I needed a chainsaw to get through it and I believe they charged me extra for the shoe leather bacon it sat on. My friends were not happy with their breakfast either. Gotta do much better than that for an $18 plus $2 bacon eggs benedict.
