The place is very dirty and I feel bad for the goldfish they are in a very dirty and small aquarium. The cloth she used to clean our table smelled like it was never put in a washing machine. Then she went in the kitchen and never came back to get our order. Very disappointed was looking forward to a delicious meal.

Someone new took my order. Which I completely understand. Needs some time to learn. Ordering took almost 10 mins. I told my order multiple times and she read it back to me. Order came and a whole combination plate was missing. Called back they tried to say I didn’t order it. I said yes I did. The person who took my order even read it back to me. And on the receipt you could see where she started to write down the other plate but scratched it out. The plate that was missed should have been free. Also a $6 delivery when the restaurant is at the bottom of my hill is a bit much. Food was ok at best. Beef and broccoli was way too salty. And the rice portion is crazy. Overall first time ordering and probably will be the last.

Difficult to get hold of on the phone, now that they've moved to Dartmouth (and the kid who should be answering the phone is unapologetic), but it's the best Chinese in HRM

if it wasnt for the grossly oversalted beef chow mein, the honey garlic ribs without sauce and the way over done rice and the chicken ball that were dripping in oil, it would have been a perfectly horrible meal instead of the TRASH it was.

Sent the husband here today for dinner. The chicken balls were literally hard. Hard to get a fork through and hard to chew. Same with the almond chicken. The Egg rolls did not taste right either. The fried rice was edible. First and last time Abe will not recommend!
too many obvious 5 star fake reviews added here on google. went here to eat as we loved jeans on spring garden, this new place was awful, we will never go back, we honestly felt like it was completely different owners. food tasted different and served cold. disappointing. please avoid!!!

I hate to give them 1 star review especially when I used to love this place when it was on Spring Garden Road. It was our office's favourite spot to order from during our many potlucks. I was so excited when they said it was moving to Woodside, it's literally a few minute walk away from me. Well, I have never been this disappointed in my life. It went from 10/10 Spring Garden to 0.5/10 Pleasant Street. If you are looking for good food, go else where. Don't waste your money. I'm very disappointed. Ignore all the 5 star fake reviews. Take it from me, I have been here. Lol
Dry and flavorless rice, rubbery chicken, mushy egg rolls. Worst chinese food I've had since I got to Halufax. 0/10 will not be going back.
No one in this place even see Ma Po Bean Curd before in their life? What kind of messed up dish are you serving?
A whole bunch of tofu and something not even resembling minced pork.
Disappointed…
We use to order from Jean's regularly but ever since it moved it's been awful. My sister ordered delivery for her partner's birthday today and the service was horrid. They took over 2 hours to deliver the food and delivered the wrong order. We called and they refused to do anything about. Will never be dining with them again.
Restaurantji Recommends
We ordered a dinner for 4 and we barely got enough to feed 2 people. We also added 8 extra egg rolls and it’s a good thing we did or we would have went hungry. We will definitely NOT be ordering from there again.
We normally go to LOOK HO HO and order 2 dinner for 1 and there is always enough for 2 people for 2 days and then some.
Maybe they should have stayed in Halifax. Total rip off.
Cost $ 100.
My wife and I were at Jeans last night . We thought we'd try it because of the hype. Well it was such throughly dirty disgusting restaurant. The washroom was extremely dirty , there was last years flystrips hanging from the ceiling with dead bugs all over the window sills. The floors were so slippery from the grease , I'm sure they used the same mope and bucket they use to clean the kitchen with. How a health inspector cleared this place for business is way beyond me. The food was cold when it arrived at the table. Rat baits greet you right at the door before you even go into the place (I should have known then not to go in!) I would never recommend this place to a starving person. This must be a joke. DISGUSTING!!!
This was my second time ordering since the relocation to Dartmouth. It is definitely not the same as the old Jeans. Instead of delicious, I’d be kind to give it a mediocre experience.
The first was when they first opened. I called the order in, waited the given time to pick up, and still waited an hour on top of that. They deserve some slack being just opening. There was poor planning at the onset as it was a reduced menu as they ran out of product.
This past Monday March 31st I decided to try again. My partner couldn’t even eat her rice. I don’t even think she finished her egg roll. Both combos were the same - fried rice, sweet & sour chicken balls, and a total of 6 egg rolls. Rice was hard, as if it was old, chicken balls were so-so, egg rolls terrible. I called it in around 4pm, my partner picked up on her way from Burnside to home.
If this is the way the “new” Jeans will be, I’m afraid I won’t be a customer. I’ll continue to make the trip to Tans in Cole Harbour. Very disappointing as Jeans was fabulous on Spring Garden. Woodside not so much. Jeans, please up the game. Make me want to be a customer of GREAT Chinese food!
Had an amazing experience here
Good food they served & nice behavior of everyone ❤️
