Took a long time To receive drinks even though only about 4 other tables had customers and it was just beer, not cocktails etc. Ambiance and outdoor furniture quite underwhelming for the price of this restaurant. They added a 18% gratuity to our bill without telling us when we arrived or when handed the bill that this is automatic for tables of 6 or more and I ended up tipping extra on top of that. Thankfully I noticed afterward and the server was quick to refund the extra tip but it felt a little strange that it wasn’t mentioned on arrival or when the bill was presented. Overall, I don’t think I would return.

Had the paella Valenciana . Rice was a little overcooked. Burnt areas at the bottom of the pan that may have caused some acrid taste. Son had the chicken with chorizo and it was pretty good .

Popped in for a quick glass of wine and dessert with my kids. Was very clear to the waitress that we were trying to catch the next ferry (in 25mins). Ordered oysters & churros and waitress checked/confirmed that churros should only take about 8mins. She asked if we wanted vanilla ice cream (I didn’t realize she was upselling and assumed ice cream came with the order, so I said sure). After waiting 20mins, our churros still hadn’t come, and with 4mins to go they came out (ice cream in tow… which we didn’t touch). Although I didn’t appreciate the upsell or the delay, kudos to the waitress for her speed in getting our bill, but in our rush, I didn’t have time to look at the bill. Upon reflecting on the total price on our ferry ride (which we ran to, but made it), I called when I got home to ask about our bill. After explaining our rush, I was told “had I brought it up in the moment, the ice cream would have been removed from our bill” to which I responded I didn’t have time. We then bantered a bit over whether I could have provided the feedback in the moment… which I insisted I really couldn’t! The gentleman was very stand-offish and defensive and took no accountability at all. In the end, I said I was just providing feedback, because I saw no other means of rectifying the situation. From NS, but I live in Montreal… and I visit Halifax about 5x/yr. Will never dine there again.

Amazing food and service by Georgia! We are visiting Nova Scotia on motorcycle and stopped by the Halifax Waterfront. With so many restaurants to choose from, we selected Los Toros (close to the Halifax Transit) and ate Paella Atlantico. So worth it and perfect amount for two! Then we ended with the churros with caramel sauce. Unbelievable!!

Had such an amazing experience at los Toros. Myself and a friend were celebrating our birthdays with a group and we were taken care of so well. Paul was so attentive and the food was amazing! Everything came out quickly and close to everybody else's so we could all enjoy our food together. Drinks were amazing as well. Absolutely no complaints! Happy I got to celebrate my birthday at Los Toros and enjoy a taste of Spain in Halifax. Thanks Paul and team!
