This was our first time at Los Toros, and wow! It did not disappoint! Very cozy and chic atmosphere. Food selection was reminiscent of our past trips to Spain with their vast authentic Spanish options. We absolutely had to have spanish wine, which was just sublime! Paul did a fantastic job as our server, with excellent recommendations, great service, and entertaining us with a wonderful sense of humor. We will return next time we're in Halifax!

When we arrived, service was fast and nice. One thing I noticed right off that bat was that the restaurant was cold. I was wearing a sweater and still found it a bit chilly. For the appetizer we had the Patatas Bravas. They were ok. It was potatoes served with two different sauces. The flavour was ok but was it worth $16? Not in my opinion. Then for the main we had the seafood paella. From their website, it seemed that was their specialty. Although it was decent, you could tell the seafood was not fresh and the rice was reheated. It was a decent restaurant to try for the first time but wouldn’t really go back.

Food was delicious, paella and chocolate lava cake. Service was warm and welcoming.
We went for brunch. The restaurant was empty and freezing cold. The paella was just reheated rice and ingredients, it was not properly prepared. The tortilla was burned and not recognizable as an authentic Spanish tortilla. A disaster as an authentic experience.

I did not enjoy it at all. First off, the food was bad—like, did someone lose the seasoning on the way to the kitchen? bad. And the service? Let’s just say I’ve had warmer welcomes from my dentist.
As someone born and raised in Spain, I can confidently say this is not 'Spanish.' Chocolate con churros as a dessert? Seriously? That’s like saying pizza is a side dish at an Italian fine dining restaurant. Chocolate con churros is something you eat at 3 a.m. after a long night out, not the grand finale of a fancy meal.
If this is what they think Spanish cuisine is, I fear for whoever tries to recreate paella. My advice: if you want real Spanish food, find somewhere else.

I’ve tried lots of seafood pastas but this one was one of the BEST SEAFOOD PASTA I have ever had in my life!!! Very creamy and had a smokey taste into it. Highly recommend!!!
We also tried an appetizer with stuffed Salmon and it was great.

The charcuterie table was excellent. The paella was flavourless. The rice was overcooked and the seafood was rough
They brought entries and the main course at the same time.
The place is really nice.

We made a last minute reservation for New Year’s Day dinner. Got there and we were there only patrons there. Was impressed they stayed open for us. We had sparkling wine and shared (between two of us) the seafood paella. Was delicious. Server was great. Thank you!

This place is a hidden gem on the Halifax waterfront, with friendly service and vivid flavours. My husband and I were very impressed with their shareable seafood platter and charcuterie board which were both not only very authentic Spanish cuisine utilizing the array of fresh Atlantic local seafood here but also some of the best portion sizes we have received for years in a Halifax restaurant downtown for reasonable prices.

We came for a birthday party, and had a wonderful time! With 9 of us, the service was super fast and friendly, everything was delicious, and they even let us come a little early to store the cake and balloons. Thank you to their team!

Hubby and I had the most delicious paella 😋 Not cheap, but worth the price. Good for a fancy date night on the Halifax waterfront.
