What ever they cook daily around 11-12pm smells like burnt toast for a solid hour, it sucks living near it. Foods alright

Do yourself a favour and don't eat here. We ordered delivery for four and I am so disappointed that we wasted our money and time. The Bok Choy with mushrooms was overcooked and soaked in corn syrup-y sauce. The Shrimp Egg Foo Yung had peas, carrots and corn in it - ew! The General Tao's chicken was soggy. We ate a bit then threw out the rest.

Excellent food! Lots of selection on the menu with something for everyone. Ordered five dishes and all were prepared and cooked perfectly. Service was quick and we serving sizes were large enough to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely atrocious food. Service was non existant. My wife and I thought this restaurant might have authentic Chinese cuisine....we were completely shocked at the meal. Not edible, and I'm being nice.

Quality has really gone down recently. I have been ordering takeout from them since they first opened. Went to have lunch last week and the corn soup was awful. Basically tasted like water.. barely any seasoning in it. Rest of the dishes didn't taste up to the mark as well. The spicy cumin beef just did not taste good.. period. Rice tasted stale as if made two days ago. Disappointed.

We are from big cities like Chicago and Toronto, where authentic and delicious Chinese food is aplenty. We moved to Halifax and have been so disappointed by the Chinese food here we just stopped eating out at Chinese restaurants. That is until our late night adventure into New Asia. New Asia was truly satisfying for a family that really misses good Chinese food. If you're looking for a restaurant with non-authentic North American Chinese concoctions, great ambience, and fine dining service, it's probably not New Asia. Our service was perfectly fine for us though. But if you're looking for great Chinese food - please go here so it can stay in business and I can continue to eat here.

Got a simple Canadian style combo plate and it was very good. The egg rolls and chick ball breading was very nice and crisp. Would definitely go back for more.

The food is of high quality, tastes great. Clean and spacious. The management, waiters and waitress are eager to make your experience a good one.

Order take out quite regularly. Not a fan of the fried rice but love the ginger beef, beef and broccoli never skimps on the beef and sweet and sour chicken are very full of nice white meat cooked just right. And they automatically put the S&S on the side for delivery orders which is a plus for me, no soggy chicken! I've called at all hours of the evening and while they usually say it'll be 15 minutes, it's almost always less, unless it's prime meal time. Doesn't seem to have much eat-in business as it's almost always very empty when I pick up but seem very popular with lots of take-out/delivery orders. My only criticism is that they ALWAYS ask if I know where they are located, which gets a bit tedious to hear repeatedly but at least they're conscientious!
I was stay in Halifax for past 18 years, New Asia's HK style lobster always best in town! ! Also they have other good dishes as Cantonese style.

Great Steamed Fish with Gai Lan.

Food was good and atmosphere was nice and quiet. The chicken lo mein wasn't too greasy and the noodles weren't mush. I would order again. Service was subpar.

Watch out if you suffer from food allergies. Dishes like shredded pork and vermicelli show up polluted with stuff like shrimp :-(
Sooooooo gooood
