Salty’s has a nice view if it wasn’t for the fog. I did enjoy the lobster roll on the croissant but it wasn’t very filling. It didn’t have enough filling inside the croissant. The soup was good but it had a bit too much ginger.

A lobster roll croissant.I found the idea very good on paper…I find that the taste of the croissant does not leave enough room for the taste of the lobster. In addition, the price was quite expensive.

I mean the food tasted like it was meant for tourists, but then again I guess I should've expected that.It was ok literally on the boardwalk, I think my fave part of my dining experience is the view and the salt and pepper. The lobster wasn't particularly fresh, was hoping to leave Halifax with the taste of fresh and tasty seafood but I guess I did technically get that by standing by the harbour front.I think my highlight was the waitress breathing over my shoulder while I input the amount for her tip, nothing quite like the feeling of being pressured into tipping for a facade of service. Thanks, but I think I'm done with the seafood in Halifax.

My family and I went to Salty’s last Summer. I ordered gluten free pasta (I informed the waitress I have Celiac Disease). Unfortunately, I was served pasta with gluten and was extremely ill for the following few days. Celiacs please be careful.

THERE IS MICE RUNNING AROUND THE BUILDING!!!!!!! I had lunch at saltys on dec 28th 2023 and there was a family of mice running around the floor!Firstly the food was honestly mediocre at best, lacked flavour, very over priced, its like they dont even put salt tbh but the seafood was fresh. On top of that, at the end we saw a bunch of mice running around on the floor. We told the waiter, and she said yeah its cuz the building has some issues. This was disgusting to see after eating here. The lack hygiene and the awareness of the mice made it a gross atmosphere and the bland food was not at all worth it.I would not recommend anyone eat here, there is tons of better places in Halifax to eat.
