Waited 60+ minutes for 6 incredibly average brunch dishes. There were no more than 4 other tables dining, so it was confusing as to why we waited that long for some very basic food.
Food was tasty when it arrived, after an hour of waiting.
4/10 experience, please go elsewhere for brunch if you have the option.

As someone who travels extensively to explore and review food experiences, I was very disappointed with our experience here. The food was incredibly bland and we found it almost completely tasteless. The charcuterie board was especially terrible: the cheeses and meats had no pleasant flavor at all, and it felt like no effort was put into harmonizing or selecting the items.
On top of that, the service was extremely slow. It took 45 minutes just to receive a cheese board, and this was on a slow day with only a few other tables occupied.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for good food and timely service.

Love this place!! Scott served us and was very friendly and attentive. We came for happy hour food and drinks. The Korean bao was delicious. Been here a few times and try to come whenever we are in town. Always enjoy.

The food is very good. Great portion size as well. Our server was very friendly but we mentioned we had a commitment and that we were in a tighter than normal timeline but we found the service overall was still slow. Someone else eventually brought out our food and then I had to track her down for our bill.
The live music was a nice touch but it was sleepy music for a Thursday happy hour. A local DJ playing disco vibes would be neat.
Overall, I'd still go back to eat as the food was good.

We stopped for oysters and tuna tartar and to sit on the patio after our walk by the sea. Very nice place, service was excellent especially considering they were quite busy inside with a large event. Beautiful space lovely oysters! Tuna tartar was great too!

It was a Christmas day supper. The serving was ample, but the turkey roll was dry. The French onion soup was sweet. I've never had sweet French onion soup that was sweet. The dessert was over the top sweet. I could only eat two bites.
Overall, I was disappointed with the $75/plate meal.

I had high expectations, but the food fell way below. Very sad oysters, burnt halibut, pathetic veggies, cold food, and zero attempt to compensate upon feedback (for the price point). Kitchen needs to up its game, the presentation was fine but food is not up to par.

Wow what a surprise for a hotel lobby restaurant. We were just looking for a light dinner so decided to just eat at the hotel lobby restaurant, we weren’t expecting a lot. Opted just to have a dozen oysters and split a Lobster Roll. The Oysters were excellent and the Lobster Roll (with some bacon in it) so good that we ordered a second. Our waitress was delightful and a real treat for a hotel lobby restaurant.

Wonderful daily happy hour; drinks, food, staff! Definitely worth a walk up the hill from the wharf. This iconic hotel is a must see for visitors to Halifax 👍🏼💞

My eggs Benny was great. Buttons bacon crisped to perfection. We had to ask for several things like silverware, extra napkins as we had 2 children with us.

Deceiving Menu ,misleading waitress and a pompous manager.
The titles on the menu are misleading .
The waitress asks you to pick a side for the meal which I picked one of the item she mentioned only to find out in the end , I had to pay five dollars extra even though she made it sound as it came with meal I had chosen . Even though the manager happen to be there he tried to brush me off as I was annoying him by pretending that he will let the waitress know so she does not do it again as if I was a five years old.
Sorry it’s not about the extra five dollars it’s about principle and not being cheated as a costumer.
Yes I tipped you 18% as I only found after the fact Miss . Big Fake Smile waitress ,otherwise you would have got 0$.
Anyhow I am leaving this 5$ advertisement on your reviews for whatever is worth.
I am sure the manager has taken care of my issue right then and there .
