Just stopped by for a gluten free treat. They had a GF almond cranberry muffin and a GF brownie. Both looked good. Not a big selection, but I was thankful to find something GF.
I tried the muffin and liked it.

This morning, I treated myself to a delicious breakfast at Simply Put. I tried the ricotta cheese on homemade sourdough toast with local honey, lime zest and chili flakes (so good). I also picked up a few of their pastries to go; the mushroom & beef hand pie, a lemon tart and a strawberry crumble tart. All were delicious. If you are in Halifax and are looking for a great spot for breakfast, lunch and/or a pastry & coffee, be sure to check them out at 1474 Lower Water St, Halifax. They have a lovely interior atmosphere, as well.

Nice clean restaurant and friendly staff. Avocado toast very good but pricey. We were disappointed that we could not get even one refill of coffee.

We make it a point to visit whenever we're in town, as the desserts are consistently excellent—the best we've found locally. The soup and smoothies are also quite enjoyable. That said, the overall atmosphere leaves something to be desired. The noise level from staff, including frequent loud conversations, whistling, and inappropriate language, detracts from an otherwise pleasant dining experience. Don't think we would be dining in anymore!

Found this little gem on Lower Water St and now I am obsessed! The Green Goddess smoothie is definitely my favourite but they have one of the best gluten free brownies I have ever had! I love this place and the service is fantastic!

I recommend the strudel! (I know my photo is of a blueberry turnover; that was good, but the strudel was even better.)
