I’m not usually an ice cream person, but this small ice cream chain really won me over. Their ice creams are rich, flavorful, and have a wonderfully creamy, milky taste. I enjoyed them so much that I visited three times during my stay in Halifax!
their waffle cones are my favourite! i went with the moo crunch and it was a yummy chocolate ice cream 🍨
COWS icecream is so good! It’s very creamy & their serving sizes are just enough to fill you up. They have many different flavours to choose from with descriptions of what is in each flavour on their website (they have a QR code you can scan on location) so you’re aware of any ingredients in case of allergies or personal preference.
This location also has lots of merch you can purchase & also other milk related products to purchase. They also have multiple employees working especially at peak hours so sometimes the line will be out the door, but wait times shouldn’t be too long.
I’d highly recommend trying it out
We really enjoyed the variety of flavours available and the waffle cones were amazing!
It claims the best ice cream in Canada. Only way to know for sure is a coast to coast train trip to find out. Maybe @downielive is ready for the challenge
Super delicious! Creative flavors to enjoy by the ocean. Would definitely recommend. Ingredients taste very fresh and quality. Came back for more :)
Yummy! Line was very long
We stopped into Cow’s for ice cream last week and were really disappointed in the staff. We were the only ones in the shop with about 6-7 staff members present and not one of them said anything at all to us. Not even hello!! It made us feel super awkward and unwelcome. The ice cream was good but this experience left a bad taste in our mouth. We found the customer service at the Cow’s at Peaks wharf in Charlottetown atrocious as well. We will not be visiting another Cow’s on this trip that is for sure! What kind of training do these people get??
Best ice cream I’ve had in a long time!
Good place for ice cream. Waffle cone was really good.

I often choose an ice cream shop based upon the line of people waiting in front of it, and cows definitely had the longest! There was a 25% discount for labour day. The caramel & cream was good, same quality as Haagen Dasz. The white chocolate & raspberry was a little weak in flavour though. I liked the fact that they bake fresh cones. The American tipping hype is more of a nuisance to my European mindset.
Not worth. More expensive than PEI. The scoop is much smaller. I also ordered double scoops in PEI, they tried to fill the cup.
Whenever I come across COWS Creamery, I have to stop for their ice cream—it’s always perfect.
best ice cream I ever had, lots of flavours and was awesome!
not worth the money. believe us! We come from Ontario where the best ice cream is Kawartha Dairy at the Barrie location. They put their arm strength into scooping you a mountain of ice crem on a single scoop ! COWS’ scoop was too soft, in fact runny, tiny and flavourless. Actually too creamy probably.
