Overall not a bad little restaurant but there are areas for improvement. First, food quality is quite good. They serve thick tortilla chips and the burrito I had was flavourful and fresh. Service however leaves a bit to be desired. They seemed understaffed when I went and I about 15 minutes to place an order. Also, a little thrown off by being served a burrito in a paper tray at a sit down restaurant charging sit down restaurant prices.

I've heard so many things about this restaurant and decided to give it a try with my friends.
We decided to go on Taco Tuesday. It's extremely busy so don't expect service like a regular sit down restaurant. I actually preferred this pace. We sat down, the waitress came over, took our drinks and meals and was gone - all in a blink of an eye. Within 15 mins we had our food. It was seasoned and spiced well.
I will be back on a regular day to try out some other delish looking options they have.
It was good! A bit loud and a bit warm but I still enjoyed it. Food and service was 10/10

My family and I are big fans of this spot! Hadn't been in a while, and was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few new menu items!! I ordered a chicken tamal (new) and a couple of suadero tacos. My wife got her standby burrito and our son got the nachitos off their new kids menu. Everything was delicious as usual, but I was particularly taken with the tamal. I hesitate to say anything besides the tacos is my favourite item, but the tamal just may be the one that does it. The little guy found the chorizo on the nachitos a little spicy, but that just meant I got to eat a pile of chorizo 🤷♂️ he liked everything else about them, and i have to say i would gladly order them as an appetizer. We also split an order of quesadillas. They've added a Soups section that includes birria, pozole and pancita, all of which I am very keen to try.
So excited for our next visit. Didn't have time this evening to try the tres leches. Fingers crossed for the next time. 🙂🙂

Very nice little restaurant, the tacos really taste good and the burritos are generous , i ordered quesadillas and it was just as I expected , they gifted the birthday girl in my table a nice little cake . All their food is safe for peanut allergy so very happy about that . I noticed tough that the only thing is they are very slow for serving the food while you are there . Altought take out service is fast .
Pd: went there again yesterday and they change the tortilla type , still good , although make sure that you can eat spice cause sometimes there is spicy chilli on the tortilla chips

The best Mexican restaurant in HRM, no contest!
Every dish is excellent, and their chips are some of the best I have had in Canada or the US.

Great tacos. Love the chips and Guacamole. The spicy dip they serve with the chips is amazing! Love eating outside on the picnic tables. Very friendly staff.

Food was fantastic. I had the burrito with chorizo and it was filling. Service was great, despite a slight language barrier. The staff are very friendly and as helpful as they can be. I'm definitely returning at some point.

We reserved a table a night before and when We arrived there nobody came to us. We were just looking around for 10mins then the super unfriendly waitress guided us to a dirty table. The food was smelly (both chicken and steak tacos) I don’t recommend this place.
On a busy Friday night, we were served quickly and with smiles! The food is authentic and absolutely delicious. The drinks are just as yummy. The vibe is fantastic. Such sweet people! Give Tako Loko a try and enjoy!
Cute little hidden gem in the Hydrostone! Delicious authentic tacos - and $4 each on Taco Tuesday! Great service and the food is very fresh. Worth the visit - and every possible flavour of Jarritos you could want.
