The Board Room Game Cafe

Memorable night! Liam was super friendly and kind—we are visiting from out of town and he took the time to give his recommendations around town in addition to helping us with the games and great food/ drink service. The games themselves were fun, and there were plenty of options for just two people as well. The other staff members were just as helpful, patiently explaining the games and checking in on us. Highly recommend The Board Room!

Hubby and I spent a few hours playing boardgames there. It's quaint, quiet, and overall a nice atmosphere. The Game Bosses are super helpful. Plus, it's a pretty cheap date spot ? (Wish we had one in Antigonish!!)

It's much bigger on the inside than the outside. Good selection of games. Good selection of mocktails.

Some of the games are a little worn, but all the pieces were there. Some cards might need sleeves.

Recommended: beer flight, orange spice tea, luck potion, italian soda (mango+peach)

I loved it here. I went with four of my friends and we had an awesome time. There are so many games to play, even though some are a little worn, its a wonderful atmosphere with options for everyone ☺️

The game room is huge with plenty of space. They opened the restaurant early for our group, which was very nice of them. We all had a wonderful time and had some nice snacks, good drinks, and fun games. I look forward to coming back anytime I'm in Halifax!

We came in off a cruise ship in the middle of a storm because I needed to do an important quiz for one of my college courses. They were very accommodating especially given the circumstance. If we had even twenty extra minutes to spare I would have loved get some of the delicious looking food and drinks and play a game or two! The vibes were on point and their game library was impressive. I hope I can make my way back up some day. Thanks board game folks! Thanks Canada!

This is the best board game cafe i have ever visited! Staff were great - attentive without being intrusive. Wonderful selection of craft beers and ciders. Amazing choice of board games! I really liked how two player games were bolded on the list and how they were organized. I'll definitely stop by again on my next trip to Halifax.
