The Carleton is a long time supporter of local and upcoming talent of all types of music. I saw Judd Gunning tonight and he was awesome. It has a great atmosphere, food and very helpful staff. Tonight I had the pork belly & scallops appetizer and several Old Fashions. A+. I would have given it a 10 but Google only lets me give it a 5/5.
Food is solid. Had the chicken sandwich and it was great - sneaky spicy so beware! Charcuterie was good as well but the real draw here is the live music. Great drink selection as well.
Our favourite venue for live music in Halifax. We attend shows often. The cocktails are amongst the best in the city. The food seems to have taken a downhill slide in terms of variety and quality in recent months, but is still good. I wish they would bring back a few of the old favourites like the kale salad and chicken bao buns.
