Wonderful welcoming pub. We’d been travelling all day and stumbled upon this place for some food and a drink. Comfortable and snug inside with really friendly staff and a good menu. We popped in the following evening for a drink, and even the night after that for another meal! Super place, very much recommend for a cosy pub experience
Dined here with a party of four. Two were locals who recommended this place. Both non-locals (I was one) ordered the chicken Korma which was very tasty. Plenty of juicy chicken and the sauce has just the right amount of spice. Beers were good (Keith’s Blonde). Service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is ‘old world pub’ with lots of stone and wood. Very homey.

We were in Halifax for a day after a cruise, and wanted to make the most of our evening. After noticing the pub on the street, and reading good reviews on Trip Advisor we met up with another couple from our cruise for happy hour and an early departure dinner.
