I absolutely love The Keg. It's the only restaurant I go to when I have the rare opportunity to go to a restaurant, especially since I need someone to drive me now. Best steak I've ever had, especially the piece last night - I always get the same thing: the sirloin special. About noise: If you mean "energetic", it was extremely disturbing. I'm old, and my two friends who visit once a year from the Bahamas, are middle-age. There was a group of young girls yelling and talking so loud, who kept standing up looking around the restaurant, that I couldn't hear my two friends talk. It was embarrassing, and I kept apologizing for having to ask them to repeat themselves. Even the husband commented on their yelling taking away from the cozy ambience and meal. Our server, the older gentleman (not a student's age) who always wears a white shirt and tie, is the best in the world. I love him! He's worked there for as long as I've been coming to the restaurant - must be at least a couple decades. I always call him "the banker" because he looks so professional. I was so happy that he was our server last night. He was so wonderful - I just love him! I'm sorry I forget his name. My only complaint: What is that "fur" or "fuzzy spider-web stuff" you're putting on top of the Caesar salad now?! For the love of God, I even had to apologize for that! You have to wipe your entire face after every bite because it floats all over your mouth, chin, cheeks, and up your nose; and it's tasteless. What happened to the fabulous shaved parmesan that you used to put on the salad?! If I can ever go back for your wonderful steak, I'm taking my own parmesan! Even the husband asked "what's that"?! I can't be the only one who've complained about this furry stuff by customers who've come to The Keg for years. The person who decided to save the company $1 a salad, and who obviously doesn't like parmesan, should be fired - just my opinion. Also, the bread was different.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary this year by visiting The Keg for the first time. We could not possibly be happier with that decision! Our server Corey was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, offering perfect recommendations for what steak to order. The food was fantastic, perfectly timed so that we didn't feel rushed to finish our appetizers to get to our main course. We received a free slice of ice cream cake as a surprise for celebrating our special day there and it was divine! We could not recommend The Keg in Halifax more to anyone who wants to have a fabulous experience from start to finish.

Visited for dinner during a business trip to Halifax. Service from Chris was superb warm, accommodating, and attentive. All the food was excellent, and our steaks were cooked perfectly to order. Will definitely visit again!

Service was better then other Keg locations I have visited. This one had a much less open dinning room configuration which made it much quieter and easier for dinner conversation. The food at this location was somewhat ho-hum when compared to other Keg locations. Just the Ottawa Byward market location was worse in my memory.

What an enjoyable dinner at the keg. A great spot to go. Our service was excellent; loved our cozy seating that was intimate and conducive to conversation, and our meal was awesome. We couldn't have asked for any better. Looking forward to our next visit.

The Keg never disappoints! We had the delicious prime rib and filet mignon! Included caesar salad and double baked potatoes were so yummy! We could not resist sharing the Billy Miner pie for dessert! No calories in "date night" right?! 🤣

Went to The Keg Halifax for our son's 16th birthday and was very pleased with our experience! The service was fantastic as well as the food. The crème brûlée was top notch!! Would definitely recommend!!

The keg is our first choice for a steak house due to its consistency. Although, the odd occasion it doesn't live up to its consistency. It's not enough to deter us as customers but those rare odd times are disappointing.
