The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Halifax

The food was good. But our meal was off put by not 1, not 2, but multiple mice running about not less then 5’ from our table grabbing spare fries on the floor. We put a complaint in, and we’re only offered 50% our meal. We will not be returning.

Terrific evening. We requested a special table - in front of the fireplace and away from crowded areas and that's what we got. Our server - Ryan - was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. Food was very good. I always get the garlic shrimp appetizer - garlic, shrimp, cheese - how can you go wrong 😋. Well made cocktails! Was our anniversary and they acknowledged that a couple of times - much appreciated by us. A bit $$$, but that was expected. Overall 5 out of 5!

We thoroughly enjoyed the expertly prepared steaks, they were cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and satisfying, a true culinary delight. However, the children's burger seemed to lack seasoning. It appeared a bit bland and could have benefited from some additional flavor. We appreciate the effort put into the meal overall.

Our server and the staff were amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, and the bread at the beginning was warm and wonderful. We were hoping to see the chilled slices of Parmesan on our Caesar salads (this is one of my wife and daughter's favourite part of the salad), but were a little disappointed that it wasn't included this time. Otherwise 5 stars all around!

Consistently good food at The Keg. We had the bacon wrapped scallops, mixed green salad with shrimp skewer, and the salmon with pistachio crust, garlic mashed potatoes with a side of béarnaise sauce. Everything was fresh and delicious. Wait staff are always pleasant and the ambience was lovely.

Service & professionalism of wait staff was great. Quality of steak choices was not as expected. Will definitely be back and hope to have a similar taste experience as we've had in the past.

I had the prime rib sandwich. The meat was a little thicker than I would have preferred, the bun was a bit soggy on the bottom. Overall it was worth about $15/plate but yet I paid $29 for it.

Three of us went to The Keg for dinner and had a good experience. We all ordered steaks — with a mix of mashed and baked potatoes on the side — and every steak was cooked exactly how we asked, perfectly done to each of our preferences. The salads were generous in size and fresh, a great start to the meal. Service was timely, efficient, and smooth throughout. A special shoutout to our waiter, Chris, who was friendly and attentive and ensured everything was right. Overall, a great night out with great food and service.

Very good steak, really good atmosphere, and truly top notch service. Mark, our server gave us a free slice of cake for our anniversary and it made the experience truly one to remember.
