This place is truly a unicorn. Special shout out for the GLUTEN-FREE AND VEGAN pub food options that are absolutely to die for.
I ordered a gf vegan chop cheese sandwich and my carnivore boyfriend couldn’t help himself and ended up eating half my meal. Don’t even let your friends try your meal unless youre fully prepared to fight them off until every last bite.
Good live music, fantastic staff, top-notch eats & free pool= perfect combination 🫰🏻👌🏻

I truly hope this is the correct restaurant that is run by Wave Foods in the Seahorse Tavern because man do I have a review.

I apologize to the owners for my delay in leaving a review. I think my friend and I have been here about 5 times now.

What keeps brining us back is the incredible food that is VERY fairly priced.

I’ve had the regular burger, the chicken burger, the chopped cheese, and one of the specials! A chicken bacon Caesar on a croissant.

Everything has been spectacular. And I absolutely love the warm kettle chips as a side. It doesn’t sit as heavy in the stomach and are a great crispy companion.

Everyone needs to know about this spot and enjoy some food and a beverage here!

Literally could not believe how bad the food was. I was surprised to come on here and see positive reviews as my friends who I mentioned how bad it was to seemed to all know this amongst themselves. We had a chicken burger and pico and chips. The burger was $17 and tasted like the fryer oil had never been changed and the cooks had used some cheap store bought burger sauce to try and cover it up. I was so hungry and still couldn't finish it. The pico and chips was basically a handful of chips with a tiny side of chopped onions and a couple scattered tomatoes for colour - my friend who ordered it had one bite and was like I can't eat straight onion.
So overpriced and such terrible food and staff service- and despite it being almost dead inside our food took ages. Will never go back here and will tell others not to as well.

The Local has a good vibe and trivia can be fun, depending on the host.

On jazz night last week, our friend Victor ended up ordering our drink for us from the patio after our server was MIA for half an hour because when we went to the main bar, the large bartender was rude and seemed to favour the younger girls waiting for drinks at the bar. We found out from the owner it was the manager. Our server last week was a short girl with brown hair who does not look a day over 15. She never knows what goes in the food or drinks we order, seems not to care, spends her time talking to friends instead of serving tables, and often just stands around staring off into the distance. She served us last weekend for jazz and it was one of the worst experiences we have had at this location and we have been coming there for a long time.

The food was amazing, but I was embarrassed to bring my family there after finding black chunks covering a lot of the ice in our gin drinks. The glasses were all dirty and as of the last few months it is one of the dirtiest bars in the city, that is if you favour sitting in the local rather than the Seahorse or the Marquee.

I would not recommend this place until they deal with their mouldy drinks, disgusting bar area, bar tenders with no personal hygiene, and get a few more of those good servers that know what they are doing.

This is one of my favourite bars in the city! The staff are super friendly, gin and jazz is wonderful (cheap drinks and great entertainment), and the atmosphere/artwork is simply exquisite

Veronica and Scott were so amazing they made my birthday special and seamless. Veronica was a gem hosting our large group and was incredibly efficient. Scott made sure we had everything we needed in between visitors from Veronica. Great service all around!

Burger bash rating. None of the flavours seemed to come through in a complimentary way and the slaw leaked and soaked the bottom bun. 2/5
