Was in Halifax last night for a concert . I am at the airport about to fly back home this morning . I didn’t know anyone in Halifax , I just came here to see my favourite band , and I just happened upon the Loose Cannon and wandered in before the show . Matt the bartender , I think his friends who were at the bar called him Chissy , was amazing . Great guy. He made my night before the show , as I was all alone. He introduced me to some regulars who were going to the show at the bar , who were awesome people. I was chatting with them about music for about an hour pre show . He was the reason I came back after, this time with some ppl I had met there at the concert . I have never felt compelled to leave a review about a place before , but I felt like this guy deserved the kudos . He was really busy when we came back, but was still incredibly nice and hospitable to us . I will be back for sure on my next visit .

We came in wayyyy too late to get food because the kitchen was already closed. Our server Alex, did give us an amazing service despite the kitchen being closed. Would recommend this place compared to others on the strip for the service, music and overall friendly service. Thanks, Alex!

disappointing. Fish is clearly frozen. Fries stuck together. Beer is good. Eat somewhere else

Place is great but the bathrooms mixed atmosphere and the way the stairwell is placed is a safety issue. I was harassed by 3 men and could not pass or be seen by others and they were right in my face. I'm all for inclusiveness but just a warning to other girls, the door on the right does not lock and due to the safety issue i experienced, i don't go recommend you go up there alone if you can help it.

Best pint of Keiths Ive ever had. Atmosphere was cool. It sent me on a trip to the Alexander Keiths grave. Insane place. Regret not getting the haggis poutine. I will be back next time Im in Halifax.

We had the deep fried haggis and the chicken curry penne, and the chicken clubhouse with drinks called old fashion with a scottish whiskey and a schooner beer. Great place to do an after-work meet up with hubby.

Been there so much I'm considered a regular now. Fantastic place to grab some drinks, socialize with friends, and get some good food.
Staff are friendly and usually fairly social. Always a good time in there.
Nothing like a good Bangers n Mash with a Garrison Irish Red or even Haggis to set your day straight.
