The food is solid bar fare for an Irish/British pub. Where Maxwell’s shines is in the service department. Wait staff is top notch, but the bar staff is over the top on efficiency and quality. Liam runs a tight ship and this pub wouldn’t work without him. Pay attention owner boys.

Love this place. One of Halifax's oldest buildings. The food is fantastic. Had fish n chips and super impressed. I've had the burgers before and they are delicioso! Deals are amazing... They have one everyday. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Starting going here 20 years ago when we visited Halifax. Now we live here an go often.

The place opened at eleven o'clock.We were there at eleven thirty. The only ones there. Ordered our breakfast finally came twenty minutes later. The eggs were cold :tater tots were cold; toast was old. Sausages were leftovers. Good thing was the coffee was hot. Definitely do not recommend this place.

Ended up going on a karaoke night and had a blast! Our server was awesome and the apps were buy one get one free. My favorite spot downtown for music and food.
