The Orient is hands-down the best Chinese food I have ever had. The staff is wonderful, and Chef Ivan even came out to thank us for being there. Every single dish was incredible! Everything was cooked to perfection, so flavourful and fresh! I highly recommend it, and I will definitely be back!

We ordered the meal for two and some noodles for New Year’s.My wife wanted to order here because they normally have great food.I was really really disappointed with what we ended up with this time. It cost us about $130 including tax and tip and it honestly looked like $40 worth of food. On top of that the food was super mediocre. Just bland, average Chinese food.Previous to this I would have recommended anyone go here but now I don’t think we’ll be back for a while.Too bad.

Food is just OK, but worse - prices have become outrageous, especially for the small servings. Small bowl of ginger beef with 5 or 6 pieces - $27 (and one piece was not edible - it was all cartilage). Same for all other individual dishes. A dinner for two - 1 small bowl ginger beef, 1 small bowl chicken and veggies, and small bowl of rice, - over $100 with tax and tip, no drinks. Never going back.

Fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared, as you would expect from their renowned chef, who made a point to visit our table to make sure everything was correct. The eggplant in black bean sauce with mixed veggies was a highlight.
Chef helped me with my restrictions and made a great stir fry with shrimp,, was very good!

What an absolute treasure we have hidden away in Bedford. Authentic (not I repeat not Canadian) Chinese cuisine. These are generational learned recipes passed down. My tastebuds were in love. I will be a regular. 10/10
