The Pint Public House - Halifax

I was in Halifax to watch a PWHL (Toronto sceptres) and met up with friends for a drink before the game. It was busy but such a friendly atmosphere it was welcoming. Haddock a whiskey sour which was made perfectly and the service was super fast especially as busy as it was.

Very bad experience. Their unreasonably expensive food and drinks stinks. Their staff is very unprofessional and rude. Their ambience is zero. If you get a table upstairs, they can move you anytime while eating. Nobody comes to take your order. If you take a table downstairs, their table chairs are so uncomfortable. Our table was so wobbly, when we asked the server to move us, he denied. Besides, The restaurant was empty. I went there twice or thrice to give them another chance, but no i was wrong. If you didn’t like it at first time, there should be no second time. The tone and attitude of staff toward us was noticeably colder. Me and my friends felt singled out. Would not recommend this place.

I have been here a few times and I’ve never felt like the food was great. The servers have been fine, but the food is overcooked, the poutine in particular is way too salty and nothing has ever wowed me. I gave it a few chances and tried different things but it really isn’t very good. They do have their half price appetizers but otherwise prices are a bit high for what you’re getting.

I’m town for curling and went to pint this afternoon for dinner, had Rachel and this is our second time having her this week, she’s amazing! Very attentive considering how busy that place gets. Definitely recommend this spot!

This place is awesome! Joe is a great guy. Kennedy and Meg provided spectacular service whenever we were there. 10 out of 10. An absolute must eat when in Halifax.
