We booked a dinner for our 25th anniversary and we ended up being spoiled from the beginning. Service, food and atmosphere are excellent. It is a little pricier but you get what you pay for!
Terrific cuisine in beautiful, historic dining rooms. You've got to try the torched oysters appetizer and the memorably delicious chowder, but actually everything we had was wonderful.
Dining at the Press Gang was like stepping back into the past - the stone walls, candlelight and architectural features were museum like. Seldom does a restaurant exceed (high) expectations! We were tucked into a small snug that was evidently a pantry at one time, right near the fireplace - very private and romantic. The food was amazing , and our server Mick was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. We had a wonderful evening and cannot recommend it highly enough.... cannot...
