2.5-3.0 Even though this bar and Durty Nelly’s are fairly popular places, I wouldn’t recommend them, simply because I’ve been treated poorly by their security and their management. This place also has a lack of vegetarian/pescatarian options but that’s the least of my concerns. Their owners were never kind to me. It’s not right that Halifax bars can choose to ban you for little to no reason at all. Even if another couple of bars have banned you, word gets out and other establishments soon follow suit. I’m being marginalized and unfairly discriminated against. Nobody should stand for such treatment. It’s unacceptable and it’s just plain wrong.

Great location. The mussels were the best we had on Nova Scotia! But, the lobster BLT was very disappointing. The service was ok. The heaters on the patio were helpful.

Great pub food and atmosphere. Fiona was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Great substitutions for fries available with sandwiches. Abundance of choices for beer and cocktails.

Vegetarian options: The mushroom burger was completely vegan, I believe. There was a delicious beet and grapefruit salad and very tasty brussels sprouts.

Stopped in for lunch and had the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich and a side of Brussel sprouts. Holy hell was it good. Topped off with a great Nut Brown ale from Garrison brewery. Service was great and after a bird used my table as a toilet (good luck I guess) my table was cleaned.

Excellent friendly service and delicious food. We had the lobster BLT and the seafood chowder. I think it’s the best seafood chowder I’ve ever had!

Really dark in the back corner; we had to use our phone flashlight apps to read the menu.
