My experience at Tokyo Roll was disappointing and resulted in food poisoning. I ordered a poke bowl with tuna, salmon, butterfish, avocado, and rice for about $18. The portion was very small. I developed severe stomach pain, gas, and acidity, and shortly after I had diarrhea and even vomited up some of the fish. The service was also very poor. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the staff showed little care for customers. There were no tables inside in the fall weather, and no bathroom. I will not be returning and do not recommend to anyone.

The food was good and and it came out fast. They just have couple of tables outside and do mostly take outs. I liked Agedashi tofu and dragon roll but not so much the teriyaki tofu. It had no vegetables and was just white rice and deep fried tofu with sauce.

My top sushi place in Halifax! The rice to fish ratio is always perfect and freshly made. The combos are great value and satisfying! Service is always professional and kind. It’s more of a takeout place but the small patio can be nice to sit out on in the summer :)

5 Stars - Exceeding Expectations Big portion size. You can get 18 rolls for $15. Rice was proper sushi rice, sweet potato was soft, warm, and delicious. They didn't skimp on the smoked salmon either. Very attentive and kind. Highly recommend to stop for a quick lunch or snack.
