Absolutely wonderful place. Scallops were fresh, battered lightly and perfectly cooked. Pan fried haddock was delicious and fish & chips very tasty. Coleslaw is house made, fresh and just the perfect neighbourhood place to go.

Young man who was all alone serving everyone was great, but the food was very sub par. The fact that they charge extra for coleslaw, house tartar, and even KRAFT TARTAR is just pathetic. Very disappointed in this spot. Not worth a visit to. But the young man working there was doing a good job.

Visiting area, ate here twice for dinner. Haddock and chips were great , batter is crispy and not too oily, fries made freah and perfect. Tartar sauce made in house and tasty, one of the best ive had. Seafood chowder just right , tasty. Coleslaw also made in house and tasty. I like Gahan house fish and chips and this was less greasey and crispier , good colour on batter. If i lived in area i would make this my regular stop for seafood. Only two workers and both were friendly and easy to have a conversation with. Definitely coming back whem visiting.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this fish and chips restaurant. The food was outstanding,perfectly crispy batter, fresh, flaky fish, and golden fries cooked just right. Every bite tasted like it was made with care. On top of that, the customer service was just as impressive. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both amazing food and top-notch service, but this restaurant does it effortlessly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the best fish and chips around!

Got the Fish and Chips and it was delicious. Owner has a friendly personality and great service which made the experience exceptional. Also there is a great outdoor seating to enjoy the North End neighborhood. Would definitely recommend.

I have had a lot of difficulty finding gluten free fish and chips that is both reasonably priced and tastes good - Willman's passed both of those requirements with flying colours! The tartar sauce and coleslaw was also a delicious addition, and as a symptomatic celiac I have eaten here twice and not been glutened.

Their portion sizes for the calamari are very small for $18. I was in disbelief when I opened the box and saw how many pieces there were. When I asked one of the employees why it is so small, the owner yelled from the kitchen “You ordered an appetizer, thats what you get. I gave you that much for a reason”. When I asked him for the reason, he went to the back of the kitchen This place will definitely go downhill if this owner is still here. The owner needs a reality check.

Delicious fish and chips, cooked to perfection. The service was excellent — friendly and fast. The staff and owner went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, even though we were a group of nine.

It breaks my heart to say this, but our last experience with wilmans was absolutely terrible. What makes things worse, is the abysmal customer service we received from everyone working in the store.
To begin, our family has always been a huge fan of Wilman's. We have ordered many times from the store since it's been under new ownership. I am sad to say that we will never order from there again.
On Father's Day, we ordered a large amount of food for the entire family. We paid over $200. All of the fish that we received was horrendously overdone. Not just a little bit. The fish was hard and tough. You could barely chew through it. We literally had to soak it in lemon juice to be able to swallow it.
When we called to express our concerns, the person working there simply said "oh, umm, ok," Lucian, the owner, was not there.
A few days later when we called, he said he didn't believe the food was overdone, but he could offer us a free meal.
We have family from PEI staying with us for a few days and we thought we would take up Lucian on his offer to make things right for us.
When we called today, we spoke with a woman who said that Lucian was busy and then promptly hung up the phone.
