East Foodies Chinese Restaurant

Popped in here after a day at the shops in Bayers Lake for a late lunch/early dinner at 3:00 pm with my husband and 4 year old son. The waitress was super friendly and sweet with my kid and her son of a similar age was around as well. Good family vibe here. Not a fancy place by any means but comfortable.

We ordered Egg rolls, Cream Cheese Wontons and Dumplings for appetizers! All were EXCELLENT and very fresh and flavourful. Some of my favorite Nova Scotian style egg rolls I've ever had with the meat inside flavoured really nicely.

The the kid got chicken balls with fries (very affordable little kid's meal version). We got fried rice, Beef and Broccoli, Honey Garlic Spare Ribs and General Tsao's Chicken. Here again, everything was so fresh, flavourful and just very well made, not too greasy.

This is my new favorite Chinese place in the HRM and I will definitely be back.

What a disappointment, this was always the best place for Chinese food, we use to buy for every event with our business. But they changed since they bought the building and took over the store as well.
My parents were there today and they were treated poorly. The male owner was absolutely rude and made them felt like they were not welcome.
After many years buying there we wo t be back.

Ordered a C10 and C13, got home started to dig in to my General Tao chicken, 4 bites in I pull out a MASSIVE brown/black hair from my mouth. Completely turned me off from finishing the food. Won't be coming back. Interestingly enough, my gf told me not to order from here because she found hair in her food couple years ago. Guess nothing's changed. They also tell you 25 minutes to pickup the order, but it only actually takes them 10 minutes to make the food so my combos were sitting in a thermal bag at the front desk for X amount of time before I even got there (early)

The mixed vegetables had a very strange smell and taste to it
Not to mention it was 70% onions and no flavor at all
Don't order the special rice,
for the tiny pieces and very few
That you get
You're better off ordering just rice for 3-4 dollars cheaper
