Very good and fairly priced classic breakfast, made fresh to order, would definitely go back! Less than $10 gets you two eggs cooked beautifully, two big sausages, buttered toast, and homemade French fries with a coffee or tea included. Great value.”

Half way between The Lord Nelson Hotel and Dalhousie University, I've walked by it a few times this week and it smelled amazing. Tonight I stopped. I am sooooo happy I did.

The vibe of this neighborhood Italian restaurant just makes you want to hang out there forever. It looks like a cafe Bistro but the service, and menu are upscale all the way.

I had warm olives with citrus zest and chilis... I'll never eat them any way again.

Thick cut fresh pasta tortelloni stuffed with goat cheese and mushrooms in a vermouth thyme sauce with balsamic? Orgasmic!

Yes it rhymes but when it comes to food? True.

It's not the waterfront, it's not lobster or chowder but if you're in Halifax, you need to try this place!

If I lived here, I'd be there every week.

Tomorrow I think I need to try the mussels. And maybe the spaghetti. Tiramisu?

I need to eat all the food. And the service? Top notch from start to finish. Olives to espresso.

“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!”

“Yesterday we had the privilege of eating at The Narrows Halofax, Nova Scotia's #1 Public House and number #12 in Canada. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere and personable host made us feel like we were home! All of the waitresses were incredible and ours went over and above to make us happy and we truly had the best time. “The food was outstanding. I focused on local items where possible. Oysters, that I eat with no trimmings, were fresh and tasty and perfect with Lightfoot and Wolfville sparkling rose.
Staff were efficient and friendly, most importantly, non-intrusive; reading the customer (me) perfectly. A great place to eat. Would thoroughly recommend whether you are local or a visitor. Well done you!”

As you go through the door u see the sign Canadian Owned and also Truly Canadian. Then why are you not using French's catsup instead of Heinz. In our home we use only French's and it is Canadian. The shrimp vermicelli bowl served with fish sauce was absolutely delightful, and my husband had a dish with pork, rice, vegetables with a fried egg on top served with a sweet sauce.
