We just drove down for a date night and sadly, the service took a lot away from good food and great atmosphere on the deck. Our waitress took our order, returned with our salad and quickly moved off (we assumed to get the drinks we had ordered but hadn’t been brought out). We slowed our salad down hoping for our drinks to come, or that our waitress would check in. (didn’t feel we should have to go track down our waitress for drinks). Waitress didn’t return until our appie was finished. We then asked about our drinks which she then went and brought back. Next our main was brought out, I had asked for a side of haskapp but it didn’t come with pizza. The waitress didn’t come back out with it, nor did she check in to see how everything was at any time during our meal. She only came out again when we were finished eating to get the bill paid….we watched her head to her car and drive away before we even got up from the table to leave. Very poor service on a quiet wednesday night.

Thank you to the Betty’s crew (Cathy, Ben and Gavy) for two tasty pizzas, bruschetta and enjoyable drinks two nights ago. Eating outside we had our puppy with us who felt so ‘at home’ she fell asleep. The pizzas were great ! I had a shrimp themed “Betty” and my kiddo tried one with blue cheese and cantaloupe. Now, yes, you read that right - and it was awesome. If you’re reading this review .. try it! Now, the bad part … we had already eaten supper that day, so we had leftover pizza. The bad part? It was left in the car and our cravings for pizza leftovers was unquenched. So. The solution is easy… we’ll go again. Maybe this weekend as I heard that an incredible server (Elliana) was off when we came in a few days ago.

Cute spot, live music and the performer was amazing and interacting with the crowd. Food was good, nothing to write home about. Service was lacking. Server was rude. Also left all the plates/pizza trays on the table even when dessert came. We piled them up and had to ask her to take them. When my friend asked for a specific drink (think margarita) the waiter asked “what margarita?” My friend didn’t know if that meant there were options so asked, and the server replied with “there isn’t a margarita on the menu so what margarita are you trying to order” lol.

Wine list was empty Lobster Bisque tasted like carrot soup. Salad was missing listed ingredients pizza was tasteless had to add hot oil to get a taste wine I could find was priced higher than menu was listed as Italian and really was from Ontario.
Two weeks ago, I stay four days in Mahone Bay . My first evening , I went to Bettie Kitch ...omg the pizza was so good ...I have returned the next day . The staff was so nice , just great when you're visiting a town for the first time and you meet people like them ! 😁

Stopped in for a drink after dinner. Ended up ordering a pizza as well as the food looked and smelt great. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Pizza tasty great. Hit the spot for a late evening snack after a few drinks. Love the vibe of the place. Would recommend.

Great music last night! Guy who greeted us just pointed to our table and told us to go sit. No menus. He seemed to “cool” to be bothered. Waitress was annoyed when she came over b/c he didn’t give us menus. She seemed impatient and bothered our whole meal. We asked the guy for another beer and he said he’d tell our server to take the order as he didn’t know what we were drinking. She seemed unaware we even asked when she walked by again and we had to request again. Asked for a dessert menu, and she looked at me, bewildered, and just pointed to the wall behind me… I wasn’t aware that the dessert menu was written on the wall. Then when it came to the bills, we were presented with just the debit machine and no itemized bill… That seems rather inappropriate and presumptuous perhaps? Is it customary not to give people an itemized list of what they purchased so that they can clarify the bill is correct? Pizza and tacos were bland at best. Place was not busy. Overall we just felt like an inconvenience to the staff.
