Delicious Treats, Great Coffee, and Even Better Service!
We stopped at Jo-Ann’s in Mahone Bay on the recommendation of our amazing tour guide—and we’re so glad we listened!
This cozy café/deli is full of charm, just like the town itself. We came in for a dessert break and were blown away by the cheesecake—rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The coffee was just as impressive—smooth, bold, and exactly what we needed to recharge for the rest of our day.
They also have a great selection of quality eats, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly—truly some of the nicest people we’ve encountered on our trip.
If you’re visiting Mahone Bay, Jo-Ann’s is a must-stop. Whether you’re after a sweet treat, a good cup of coffee, or just a friendly place to relax, this spot has it all.

Always a great variety of baked goods and sandwiches. The cinnamon sugar donut was amazing. Wish they’d bring back the peanut butter pie.

Every time I go to my home Bay I must get a date square at Jo-anns. Everything I've ever had from there has been fantastic Period
Go woke, go broke. Politics, religion and social agendas don’t mix well.
I had one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted here! The BLT with fake bacon.

Great place if you like your baked good served with a side of politics. Can't just have a tea and something sweet. Given their biases, I'm surprises they're still using vegetable oil - aka one-step-removed farm equipment lubricant - in their food. Why support that "food" industry??And really don't understand why you're supporting Gaza when homosexuality is a crime there? Rampant discrimination against gay people.
A small shop filled with lots of goodies. Well worth the stop.

Freshly made food. Lots of sandwiches made to order and lots of other food choices like samosas, salads, and great in house made cakes, cookies, and pastries. Great coffee! No sitting inside but great 3/4 covered eating area outside, It's my go-to place when visiting Mahone Bay.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and dairy free options.

The staff isn’t as friendly as they used to making the atmosphere feel uncomfortable as well as turning the store political, taking sides which is very unprofessional. Won’t be back
