New York Fries Mayflower Mall Fast Food • $

“Lets get the good right out of the way. They arguably have the best poutine on the island; especially so if you enjoy non standard poutines. Their hotdogs are not next level but they're not bad either—they are entirely passable. No complaints.

My complaints come from the service. I ordered a combo from them on Doordash. A combo: a dog, poutine, and a drink. They put my drink in a separate bag from the hot foods which is appreciated but they put the condiments in the bag with the poutine making them warm and disgusting. Why would you do that? Especially when there is a bag with nothing but a cold bottle of pop in it?

On top of that they use wooden forks. Do not eat here if you don't have access to a metal or plastic fork unless you plan to eat entirely with your hands. I know they're good for the environment but they completely change the taste of the food and for the worse.

I took a point off for atmosphere because its in a mall and the food court seats in there are bolted to the ground which is very tacky and lame.“

“I stopped in for breakfast, and this might be the busiest place in town. The service was fast, and the food was fresh and fast. Because of how busy it was, it was a little messy, littered with dishes and food waste. They should definitely build a second floor, get a bigger location.“

“The McDonald’s kids play area is a fun, safe spot for children to play while parents relax. With colorful slides, climbing structures, and soft play zones, it’s a great way for kids to burn off energy. The area is usually clean and well-maintained, and it provides a nice break for families during meals. Just be sure to check if your local McDonald’s has a play area, as not all locations do.“

“I just went through the drive thru (Oct 21 @ 6:45) and ordered peanut buster parfaits. 2 things. 1-The young man (didn’t catch his name) that was working on the drive thru, was delightful. So pleasant and bright. We have had great service before. But his demeanour was outstanding 2-highly disappointed that I was told you will no longer be carrying crushed peanuts. I hope that changes.“

“Went through the drive thru, and ordered an old favorite - the original chicken sandwich! It was good, but never as good as the memory. If anyone remembers when they were first around our area, they used to have a Ham & Cheese sandwich on the menu. Oh my! That, too, was one of the originals, but it was taken off the menu many, many years ago! I remember it, too, and would love to see it back! In any, BK is always consistent, no matter the time. Enjoyed my sandwich as expected!“
