Pastries

“The best bakery around. We order the croissants for holiday meals. Last Christmas we picked up our order, lined up with many people. Several croissants fell out of the bag as we were leaving (our fault!). The owner of the bakery, despite the busyness and likely limited quantity of extra inventory, came out from the back and insisted we take new croissants instead. It really spoke to the character of this fantastic business. I'm so happy to have Red Knot in Truro.“

“Fraser's pastry shop had 4 days to create this exquisite 2 tier wedding cake.. it was exactly what I asked for and was far more beautiful then we ever expected!! Price was unbeatable and it tasted better then it looked and that seems almost impossible because it was just so gorgeous! THIS is where you want to go for any occasion! “Coming to this market makes me feel more a part of this town than anything else. We are so lucky to have this market with such a wide selection of vendors in Truro. Need veggies? Got it. Need Skin care? Got it. Need some spirits for your alcohol cabinet? Got it. I recommend you make this a stop on your list when visiting Truro. Open Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm.“

“Dear Tim Hortons (Truro, NS. Robie Street) Let me start off by saying I frequent this Tim Hortons a fair amount when I am visiting family in the area. I find the service generally fast and efficient and have never had a concern with this particular location. I was shocked to be told yesterday by the service individual that you did not offer a 10 cent discount on cold beverages when you bring your own reusable cup. The employee at the window told me that they only offer the discount on hot drinks. Even the poster beside the take window showed a hot beverage and a cold beverage container when advertising this promotion. I would hope that Tim Hortons would rectify this anomaly in policy.“

“Not my first visit, ( I LOVE THEIR DOUGHNUTS AND FRITTERS), but today I got some cherry shortbreads, absolutely delicious, maybe could've been a little bigger cookies , but YUMMM. I also found a blueberry pie on the day-old shelf. What a treasure THAT WAS!! SOO GOOD...I love the place, very friendly staff, always a huge deal to make any kind of decision on what to buy ( when EVERYTHING is appealling) or, SIGHHHH, what to leave behind for the next visit. See you again soon.“

Breakfast Sandwich and Vanilla Chill

“In my opinion, this is the best Tim Hortons in the area. We refer to this as the main Tim Hortons. They more often have a better selection of Donuts, Pastries, etc. than the other Pictou Road location. This one has a drive thru but it is narrow. You are probably better off just parking and going in like I always do. When pulling out of drive thru take note there is a bad lip with the seam of the road. If you're trying to turn left out of the drive thru, you usually won't be able to cause its too busy. Probably safer instead to turn right, go to Jennifer Dr. Then turn right out of Jennifer Dr. when safe to do so.“
