When there's only 1 option for a home cooked meal within 100 miles, we were very glad to have stumbled across the Alamo Diner, and the excellent food and service that was provided to us!

When I met my wife 25 years ago her mom made me tacos like I'd never experienced before. She is Mexican and fried the shells in a way that was crunchy and soft at the same time and didn't put any nonsense taco flavoring in the meat- she just let the carne speak for itself. The menu was diverse between American classics and Mexican classics. I had the biscuits and gravy breakfast and my husband had a wet burrito. Both were served quickly with nice portions. A homemade coconut pie was supposed to be dessert, but we had no room after cleaning off our plates. This being said, the server who waited on us was the highlight.
