Taqueria Alonso Mexican Food

Can someone say, hole in the wall? Better yet— taqueria in the wall. This place is a local hidden gem. It’s located right by the gas station in the corner.

The food was excellent , service on point and prices were very good. I will definitely be back. The horchata is made in house & has a refreshing and amazing cinnamon flavor. The portions are generous & the flavors/seasoning are totally spot on. Additionally— they have an A for health inspection. Lately, there’s been many restaurants with subpar health inspection reports in the region, so to have Taqueria Alonso display an A score is just another reason to come support this local establishment! Truly delicious.

Worst burrito I've ever had asked for chicken burrito with no beans. Came with unidentifiable meat and rice only. Nothing else

My husband and I were looking for a good spot for lunch while shopping in Carson City. After looking at reviews we decided to stop by and try it out. The service was excellent and the food was amazing! We shared the gorditas plate and the quesabirria tacos. We ate every bite. The homemade salsa, hot sauce and verde were the best we have had. If you haven’t tried this spot, do yourself a favor and stop in for some amazing authentic Mexican cuisine.

I was out riding with a friend and they recommended this location to eat and I've never had it before. Decided to give it a shot and it's some of the best food I've ever had. Definitely want to go again, we'll also take my friends and family there if I ever get the chance for those who haven't eaten it

My fave spot in town. Some of the best birria I’ve ever had. Everything is flavored with love, down to the rice and beans.

Not open at 7 am, informed they'd be open at 8. Really wish I hadn't waited around for them to open, was excited to try them out.

We ordered quesabirria from this restaurant. It's next to a gas station and a hidden gem. Small and cozy. They give good salsa with their chips. Also the salsa they give with your meal is definitely worth checking out. Not much meat in the tacos. The meat was definitely good and seasoned. You also got 4 tacos. We will be back. Hoping it's better next time e!
