Great Basin Brewing Company - Carson City

My husband took me here for our anniversary last week. We had heard mixed reviews but decided to give it a try. It was a pretty busy night for being middle of the week. Our server started out attentive, but the busier it got...the service declined. On his behalf, it seemed like there was maybe 2 or 3 people working and he also had to maintain the bar. Ok, give him that. However there was a huge delay between placing our order after we ordered our appetizer. My husband and I both ordered and only one order came out. After someone dropped off our order besides our server NO ONE came back to check on us. We had to split the one meal (also only charged for one thankfully). He asked us our sides when he took the order, so I know it was two orders. No one came back to see if we wanted ketchup, ranch, nothing. We had to drag someone down way after we finished our meal to even get a check. I don't know if we even will be back. The fish tacos had a doughy tasted and looked thrown together by i am assuming a busy cook. Just a total disappointment.

Straight up closed on a Tuesday at 7pm. Way to suck Carson City. This is why your population is declining in the recent census. Zero night life. We can't support your economy if your not available for your customers.

Food is OK, better than most places in carson, beer seems warm, meat platter is embarrassing, prices way too high for some dressed up burger joint. Won't go back

We've never had a bad experience here or with the food, until now.
We ordered lemon pepper and buffalo wings, a three pigs pizza, and garlic fries.
I want to start by saying we ordered online to bring it home and we live about 7 minutes from the establishment. When we arrived for our food, they were waiting for the pizza to get done. We came straight home. All the food was cold, including the pizza. The lemon pepper and buffalo wings tasted like salt only. They were so salty, we didn't eat more then the bites we tried of both flavors. The pizza was also salty...not really sure how that happens. Half of the crust was also burnt so much, it was unable to be eaten. The only good item out of this order were the garlic fries...that were also cold, unfortunately.
Again, never had a bad experience until now but this was unacceptable. We called to let someone know and they just acted kind of indifferent. Hopefully, things get better.

I been waiting for my pick up order for 17 minutes, I asked how long more will take and the only answe I get was “I don’t know”. Don’t make me waste my time.

We had an awful lunch there yesterday. The service was horrible too. We won’t be back. The Sparks location has gone down hill too. What happened Great Basin?

Eat before you come here.

Servers were friendly, food came out timely, but very intrusive and frequent “check ins.”

Food portions were small for the price. Ordered the Peachy and Porky off the seasonal menu and the pork belly was the size of my thumb and ribs were dry. The “large” fish and chips was not a lot of fish; mostly bulked with fries. Wished I had been eating at Red’s instead.

Had a great time at Great Basin Brewing in Carson City! The veggie pizza had a tasty thin crust, and the Brussels sprouts were really good. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Worth a visit!

Oh my, let me start!!! The service was amazing, wings are to die for, and the pizza took me back to New York, I recommend to hang out to have a beer and watch a game, very nice and comfortable place to just relax

Absolutely amazing we had the wings and a pepperoni pizza husband is from new york so very picky about pizza he was so impressed we ordered one to go to and the wings best ive ever had! Staff were absolute sweethearts. Highly recommend this place

We’ve always enjoyed eating here and brought our friends on a busy Saturday evening. 2 stars for the food. Good service and atmosphere. One friend had an overcooked burger that came without any sauce (had to ask for it) and the pretzel bun left little desire. The other friend ordered bbq chicken pizza and it arrived with very little toppings. My husband and I ordered fish tacos. They were good but looked like they had been thrown together. Half of my sweet potato fries were overcooked and crunchy.
It has been our experience that the food is better prepared when we have come at lunch time or an early dinner when the place is not packed with people. This is when we will continue to come to enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Probably one of the most interesting failures in Carson City that I've seen. Could be a very successful brewery, but they are just completely hampered by the inability to meet the desires of the local community. Food takes forever. The staff is very rude to customers and after years nothing seems to ever change. It's just really sad to see a restaurant that could have so much positive motion for the community. Do so bad because they can't make their food quickly. It's a vexing quandary. I was literally waiting older for 10 minutes for my order that I ordered through the doordash app. I asked for my order and they just told me it wasn't ready even though the allotted time for their quote was already over and exceeded by 5 minutes. They made me stand there for another 10 minutes and still I had not received my food. I ended up just canceling the order in the app because it literally was taking so long and the bartender was being rude to me. He was telling the other people. It's just a doordash order. You don't need to worry about it. I told him hey man it's my order. Why can't you guys ever get your food or times right? Why quote people a certain time and then not have the food ready at that time? Just because I ordered it through doordash. I'm less of a person?

Meh. Don't get the pizzas everything is so paper thin you barely taste anything besides burnt crust. The pretzel bun was over toasted and on the burnt side as well making the sandwich dry. Just wasn't worth the price in my opinion.

Wheelchair accessibility: It's accessible my brother in a chair was able to navigate just fine.
