The owner is charming and personable, with a great sense of humor. Lunch menu was limited to pizza, hot dogs and fries, but the conversation and perusing Ty's vast collection of antiques, oddities and clothing (all for sale) is worth stopping in for.
We got coffee while waiting for our to-go-order and it was absolutely stone cold. Another diner was served very cold French fries. It was a 45 minute wait for our grilled sandwiches. They're hiring for wait staff, bartending and cooking positions, so they are evidently short-staffed, but there were only three of us in the restaurant and two in the bar while we were there. I had dinner there Sunday before last. The waitress, the cook, the barmaid, the atmosphere and the onion rings were all excellent. The waitress helped me with my order and was very easy to talk to. The onion rings were done exactly how I like them. The cook and I gave each other thumbs up when they were delivered. The barmaid was friendly, fun to talk to. The bar is classic.
