Went to grab some smokes and I had a DMV issued paper with my ID because I'm waiting to receive it in the mail and the woman at the counter told me that those weren't legal and I couldn't be on the property!! How is this legal then for the DMV to issue these if they can't be used for identification purposes? How can you turn away paying customers for paperwork issued by the DMV? If I could give zero stars I would!

My experience with Jackpot Joanies was deeply troubling and demonstrated a lack of respect and professionalism. As an African American individual, I felt targeted and discriminated against during my interaction with this establishment.
On 11/17/24 , my car broke down in front of the property. While waiting for my insurance provider to send a tow truck to assist me, an employee named Jose called the police without making any attempt to speak with me or understand the situation. He escalated the matter unnecessarily by filing a trespass charge against me and attempting to have me arrested and my car towed.
Despite explaining that my car was disabled and I was simply waiting for a jump-start from my insurance provider, he showed no remorse or understanding. After being informed of my situation, Jose refused to apologize and instead issued a final warning, stating that he would call the police again in an hour if I did not leave. Thankfully, my insurance provider arrived in time to assist me and prevent further escalation.
This behavior appears to violate Nevada’s public accommodation laws under NRS 651.070, which prohibit discrimination in places of public accommodation based on race or other protected characteristics. As a person of color, I felt singled out and treated unfairly in a way that other individuals may not have been.
I strongly urge Jackpot Joanies to review their policies and employee training regarding interactions with customers and individuals on or near their property. Such actions not only harm individuals but also tarnish the reputation of the business.
If you value inclusivity, fairness, and professionalism, I would not recommend patronizing this establishment.

We recently visited Jackpot Joanies for the first time and had an excellent experience. The bar is a bit smaller than some other places we've been to, but this actually worked in its favor. The intimate setting allowed for a comfortable atmosphere, and the service was exceptional. Our bartender, Kathy, was fantastic—attentive without being overbearing, which we've encountered at other establishments. As a younger couple, we’ve sometimes felt hassled by overly aggressive bartenders, but Kathy struck the perfect balance. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back!

Bruh this lady is sumin else...I played $100 and only got served one drink than when I asked for another one after losing that she told me I had to be playing 20 bucks but the other ppl around me got more services n treated better n I tipped I really don't get it FYI her name Melissa so be prepared to be mistreated if she don't know u bc I got the side eye along with mean looks by asking for a drink

This place is laid back gambling facility, caters to the locals and tourists of course and it serves food, snacks like chicken fingers and fries etc; serves alcohol beverages and sift drinks!

Last night experience here was very uncomfortable for me & my wife. We felt like we were in a sundown town. The vibe from the young ladies that worked last night, then the young lady that came in afterwards didn't make anything better. I know we all are entitled to bad days but you can't show favoritism towards customers. My wife stood at the counter for quite some time waiting for her ticket to get cashed in while the clerk stood there at another machine chit chatting and congratulating the other customer. The other customer had to bring it to her attention that my wife was standing there, she also did it to me.We've decided that we will switch our hours of playing there to avoid these 2 clerks. Shane, Shaunie and another gentleman there are absolutely good customer service. I know we're not big jackpot winners there but we do tip out of courtesy. My wife should not have to ask for a clean glass. Idk we thought these ladies were ok but I guess that was just the 1st two encounters definitely don't want my wife upset when she's nothing but nice. Very bad service, made us very uncomfortable as if we should not had been there. We will change the hours that we come to play. We will play during Chantel, or other staff members work hours. If these ladies are there we will play at another time.
