We initially stopped in to buy water bottles prior to our hike and then came back post-hike for some much needed food. Everything was served fresh and the Piccadilly fries were great! The sour cream sauerkraut was an odd surprise to see on the menu but tasted good.

This is a nice little cafe/bar worth a trip out from Elko. The food was great as was the friendly service. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch at a high table. After lunch, take a short trip down the road to see a beautiful well kept little church built in 1904. Also lots of deer running around seemingly almost tame so drive slowly!

Rustic, rural, and honest, O'Carroll's is a Lamoille institution. The food is simple, hearty, well-prepared bar food; burgers, chorizo sandwiches, etc., that doesn't disappoint. The atmosphere is very friendly and engaging: most of the time I end up in a big conversation with everyone else in the place, it's a fun, friendly staff and clientele. O'Carroll's is one of a core of truly great rural Nevada bars, like Middlegate and Jiggs, that is charming and welcoming even to strangers, maybe especially to strangers.
