First time eating Ethiopian food. It was amazing. Had the 5 item combo. No forks no knives just injera bread. Try the tea too.
I just took my family to this restaurant. I had my in-laws in town and wanted to treat them to some Ethiopian Cuisine. Soon as I entered the door, I was rudely told that no children allowed because they serve alcohol. Our children were with us. Seriously???? I will tell everyone I know NOT to support this establishment!!!!

Based on the reviews, Abyssinia Restaurant & Lounge offers absolutely delicious food with Chicken, Beef, & Vegetarian options. The meat and veggie combo for 4 people is very flavorful and not spicy, featuring an awesome variety of dishes with a generous amount of housemade injera bread. The injera is plentiful, moist, and structurally sound for scooping up the yummy food. Specific meals mentioned include #23 (combination of 3 beef dishes) and the veggie combo plate. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating, and the service is lovely. The restaurant has a wonderful lounge atmosphere with beautiful decor, including beautiful soft leather, purple sofas. The bathroom is very clean. The tea is also amazing, best with cinnamon and clove. While the food and injera were not that hot upon arrival, the aromas from the spices were everything, and the colors from the lentils to the greens to the tibs were so colorful. The injera that the food is placed on is so delicious due to the seasonings. Despite a small wait, the food was chef kiss good, making it an unforgettable experience overall.
