Bar Boheme is a contemporary French style restaurant located in the Arts District downtown by well seasoned chef James Trees. It is an exceptional, traditional French restaurant executed using high quality ingredients, sometimes with a modern twist. The ambiance is rich looking, beautiful, inviting, stylish but comfortable, and can feel cozy. It is a superb, elevated affair.
The menu has a great selection. Marvelous and spectacular dishes include an amazing Frisee Salad, delicious Tuna Tartare, inventive canapes, and amuse bouches. There is deep and rich Foie Gras Terrine and rich and flavorful Chicken Liver Pate served with crusty French Baguette. Entrees feature succulent Mary's Duck, amazing Beef Bourguignon, tender and roasty Trout with lentils and fennel, and an amazing burger. Standout desserts include an extraordinary Croustillant Chocolate Cremeux and a crème brûlée twist made as a tart. The Prix Fixe menu with wine pairing offers great value. The cocktails are balanced and thoughtfully made.
The service is top notch, exceptional, and genuinely friendly and attentive. The staff is the most knowledgeable, friendly, and hard working, providing extra special professional service that balances being great without being intrusive. The chef himself is present and welcoming. Bar Boheme delivers on food, drinks, and overall experience for an extra special dinner.
