First, it was nearly $90 for 3 people, bottom tier meat selection and no add ons. Two of us barely ate and honestly should have asked for a comp (see blow for why we barely ate) My daughter and her friends enjoy this place and I saw so many TikToks about it, so my hopes were high and dashed! The broth, we got the original, was so bland, it tasted like hot water but with an odd soapy floral aftertaste. There was a fair amount to choose from, but again lackluster. The fried rice and chow mein was cold, the first batch of shrimp was good but the second wasn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ the sauce bar is small. The service was excellent, but I didn’t go there just to have my table bused. Do your self a favor, if you want good hot pot (not quantity over quality) and go to Chubby Cattle, the service there can be hit or miss but the broth and the food is so good you’ll leave in a food coma.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a great hot pot experience at Happy Lamb Hot Pot – Maryland Crossing! 🍲🔥

The broth was rich and flavorful — we chose the half spicy, half original combo and it was just right! 😋
Lots of fresh ingredients to pick from, high-quality meats sliced perfectly, and a great variety of veggies, mushrooms, and dipping sauces.

The place was clean and cozy — perfect for a casual lunch or a fun dinner with friends and family. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

If you’re a hot pot lover in Vegas or just visiting, this place is definitely worth checking out!

This place is beautiful indeed , it’s so clean and spotless , the food is so fresh , hot and delicious . Even the bathrooms were very nice , every corner of this place was very pretty and also still rather new . The reason this is not a 5 star rating is because the waiter came by only one time the whole time we were there , I wasn’t familiar with how they ran things but come to find out that he was the only one that was able to give us the check , we waited a good 20-30 minutes before just getting up and asking a random cashier and they then had to go find him . This is an all you can eat kind of thing and he never even came back to give us more of the meats that they offer and we had to order from him . Very poor service , service doesn’t really match this place and if you’re anything but Asian , Philippino , or Chinese ; you’re going to get so many stares , we were the only Americans if that’s anything that bothers anyone .

I eat hotpot every month. The broth is not good. Ruined whole meal we spent 80 and couldn’t eat so we just left. Nice atmosphere service was good. But I would try some other place. Go to China town and find any place there much better broth.

⚠️ Beware – especially if you’re dining with kids!

My friend and her family visited here for lunch on June 24 around noon with two children (8 and 9 years old). The restaurant was nearly empty despite it being lunchtime – only 4 or 5 tables had guests.

Before ordering, she clearly asked whether the children’s pricing was still half off for ages 6–12 (which it used to be), and the staff confirmed yes, children get half-price.

They ate reasonably: three plates of lamb, a few shrimp, mushrooms, noodles, sesame balls, four chicken wings, 3–4 drinks, and a small amount of dessert and fruit. They didn’t waste any food and didn’t stay long.

When it came time to pay, she presented their own grand-opening $25 off coupon (valid for bills over $50). But suddenly they told her that only the 8-year-old qualified for child pricing – the 9-year-old would be charged as an adult because he is “too tall.” He’s only 4’7” (about 140 cm)!

This was never mentioned before, and charging based on height instead of age – after confirming it was age-based – is just dishonest. It felt like they changed the rules just because she used a coupon.

This is extremely misleading and unfair to customers. If your restaurant can’t honor its own promotions or be transparent about pricing, then don’t run them at all.

Also, the hot bar food looked old, dry, and unappetizing – possibly due to the low customer traffic.

👎 My friend don’t mind paying full price when it’s fair, but inconsistent rules and poor service are a dealbreaker. She won’t be returning and I strongly advise other families to avoid this place.

Unreasonable Charges, Mediocre Food
Avoid at all costs!!! Happy Lamb Las Vegas

Today, June 24th, just around 12 PM, I took my two kids (an 8-year-old and a 9-year-old) to this restaurant for lunch. The experience was jaw dropping (in a bad way)! This is a warning to families dining with kids!

We arrived right at lunchtime, but the restaurant was nearly empty, with only four or five tables occupied. After being seated, I honestly told the staff that my kids are were 8 and 9 years old, and asked if the kids’ price was still half off (we had been here a few times when they first opened — kids under 6 were free, and ages 6 to 12 were half price). Since I hadn’t been here in months, I wanted to confirm again, and the staff clearly said: yes, children are half price.

We ate three plates of lamb, took six shrimp from the buffet, some mushrooms, a few rice noodles, a few sesame balls, four chicken wings, and three to four fountain drinks. For dessert, we had a few pieces of cake and fruit.
First, we did not waste any food. We ate quickly and didn’t occupy the table for long because quality of the food is dramatically lowered and it was like nothing when it first opened.
But when it was time to pay that’s when I got super upset, I presented a valid promotional coupon they handed out during their grand opening (which offers $25 off when you spend over $50 — and we did spend more than $50).

However, I was told only my 8-year-old could get the kids’ price, but not the 9-year-old and had to be charged as an adult. I asked why, and the explanation completely contradicted what I was told when we were seated. Now they claimed that because the 9-year-old boy was “too tall” he had be charged full adult price.

I asked: how tall can a 9-year-old possibly be to be considered an adult? (My child is 1.4 meters / about 4’7”.)
Even if you base pricing on height, how can you justify charging an actual 9-year-old the same as an adult? Every child grows differently — some are taller, some shorter — but if you clearly state children aged 6–12 are half price, you can’t change it last-minute to suit your needs (maybe because we had a coupon?) and charge based on height.

This is blatant deception of your customers.
And this coupon was something your restaurant issued! If you didn’t want people to use it, why offer it in the first place?
If you can’t afford to honor your own promotion, why run a restaurant?
Using such dirty and dishonest tactics — better to shut down early than keep embarrassing yourselves.

we’re talking about a difference of a few dollars — it’s not that we can’t afford it, but it’s the dishonest, inconsistent way they conduct business that made me furious.

One last point: looking at how poorly the business is doing,I can taste that the food is definitely not as great as when it was first opened — especially the hot buffet items — are not fresh at all. Everything looked blackened, dry, and inedible.
