Cashier is friendly and food was tasty.
However, hot oily katsu melted styrofoam container. I recommend foil tray or paper containers for hot oily food.

On a recent visit, ordered spam saimin and they only give you one thin piece of spam, which is not even cut up. It’s just one slice, for the entire container of soup base, and saimin noodles. This is not SPAM saimin, it is spam slice and soup!! Times are hard for everybody, but your customers are what pays you. Do better with your food portions!!

Today I only came to pick up order to deliver. The young man working in front was probably the most polite individual I've ever met. His customer service was extraordinary, seriously he was so happy to serve.

This was my first time trying Hawaiian food, and I ordered the chicken katsu. Unfortunately, I really didn’t enjoy it — the flavor and style just weren’t for me.

The restaurant itself was clean and well maintained, which I appreciated. However, since it was my first time, I had a few questions while ordering and didn’t feel the staff was very patient or helpful. They were polite, but I felt a bit rushed instead of guided, which didn’t make the experience better for a first-time customer.

I’m giving it 3 stars because the place was clean and organized, but the food wasn’t my taste and the customer service could have been more welcoming, especially for someone new to the menu.

The short ribs were incredible—tender, juicy, and full of rich, sweet-savory flavor. Perfectly grilled with a slight char, they paired beautifully with fluffy rice. The portions were generous and incredibly satisfying. 10/10, would absolutely order again.

L&L doesn't really qualify as Hawaiian food but this one location at West Charleston has Garlic Chicken which is an off menu item and it is the best thing at any L&L. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Weird thing is that it's only at one location in Hawaii too.

I had a really disappointing experience with the front counter staff. I explained that I placed my order through LoyaltyPlant, because that’s the only platform I’m familiar with. Instead of helping, the woman at the front responded with attitude and said, “I don’t see your order. Did you use Uber or DoorDash?” I told her I ordered online, and she snapped, “Which one? There are so many.”

I told her what I ordered, and instead of assisting me, she scolded me: “You need to tell me you ordered through the L&L Hawaiian app.”

How on earth am I supposed to know the exact system you use when all I did was follow the link provided? That’s not my responsibility—it’s the business’s job to make the process clear and train staff to handle confusion with patience, not hostility.

Really frustrating experience. Do better.
