This modern restaurant sited in the Fontainebleau casino let you dive into the tradition of dim sum. It really offers a great choice of it, excellent tasteful dim sum. The dough has the right consistency and flavour, a nice stiky al dente dough, and the stuffing is a delicate explosion of flavors. The scallop Shumai are great and the Xiao Long bao absolutely delicious, filled with such a tasteful broth inside. Surely it is expensive compared to the off-strip dim sum spot, but it worths a try.

This was our first dining experience at the Fontainebleau resort and it was amazing. The food at Washing Potato is reasonably priced and is really good and filling. It’s traditional Chinese food with dim sum options too. I don’t think you can go wrong here! I can’t wait to go back and try more new things!

Nestled inside the Fontainebleau Hotel, this spot serves absolutely delicious dim sum! Every bite was a treat, and our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. We loved the cool and vibrant ambiance, making it a must-visit. without a doubt, we’ll be back next time we’re in Vegas!

Sandy scallop and egg shell in the food!
I was staying at the hotel and just went without reservation for lunch. We started off with Pork with Preserved Egg Congee. The pork had bad smell to it, and there was egg shell in the congee. At first we didn't want to make fuss about it because it was just a little egg shell. Then we had scallop shumai and Char siu bao. The visuals were nice, but when I had the first bite of shumai, I felt something weird inside. I thought I was wrong the first time, but in the second bite, I realized there were sands in the food. I actually had to spit it out and then saw the sands. There were actually lots of them so I had to go to the washroom to rinse my mouth. We informed the waitress about it, and the response was "did you want to order different food?" and then she just took everything off the table, including the Char Siu Bao which didn't have any problem. My husband and I were a bit surprised and had no idea what to do as the waitress didn't return and just started minding different tables. We called her back and asked why she had to take everything away, and she said that she thought we didn't like any of the food. I explained again what happened, and then she was like ohhh got it and then brought back the Char siu bao we were eating. With all the frustration, we didn't order any other menu. They ended up only charging us for Char Siu Bao, but it was very frustrating experience.

Atmosphere was quite nice, the only food we truly got to eat was Char Siu Bao, it was good, but not good enough to be $15+ for 3 pieces. Also after returning to my room, I googled why there can be sands in the scallop. Basic explanation: low quality scallop and they did not rinse or clean before cooking.

Definitely would not recommend.

The ingredients are very fresh, the taste is very good, and the atmosphere is also very good, but the brand outside is not obvious, so I looked around for several times before I found it.

I was in town and decided to try this place and it was very good. The hostess sat me immediately, the server was very friendly and fast, other staff helped each other out as well. The food was excellent. I had the scallop shumai and duck salad and they were both great with tons of flavor. If I am back there I will go again.

This time, we scored the best seat in the house—a cozy corner round table with an amazing view of the entire restaurant and the open kitchen. Watching the chefs craft potstickers and dumplings right before our eyes was such a treat.
Our server, JoJo, was fantastic—attentive, super sweet, and a true menu expert, guiding us to some fantastic picks. Our food runner “Guy” who recognized us from our last visit, insisted we try the Peking duck, and we couldn’t resist.
We started with the chicken potstickers. They were perfectly cooked, with well-seasoned chicken that wasn’t greasy yet had a delicious, crispy edge. Then came the pan-fried prawn and chive dumplings—just the right balance of prawn and chive, warm and soft in every bite.
Next, we tried the wonton noodle soup. My boyfriend loved the noodles’ perfect texture, and I was all about the delicate, flavorful broth and the freshly handcrafted wontons.
Then it was time for the star of the show: the 1/2 Peking duck. This dish was a flavor explosion! Crispy skin, tender, smoky meat paired with fresh cucumber, scallions, and sweet duck sauce, all wrapped up in house-made pancakes—it was pure magic.
Our feast continued with the black pepper beef. Tender meat and perfectly cooked peppers, still crisp, made this dish unforgettable. We couldn’t resist the Yangzhou fried rice either; the smoky wok flavor and crispy scallions were everything.
And for my “dessert”? The crispy lemon chicken! Warm, crispy, lemony, with just the right balance of salty and sweet—absolute perfection.
Yes, we ordered way too much, but JoJo kindly packed up our leftovers. Thanks to Alejandro and Guy, too, for expertly finding space on our table for everything—it was like playing a game of Tetris.
Washing Potato has officially become one of our favorite spots in Vegas! Every visit blows us away, and we can’t wait to return. Huge thanks to all the amazing staff for elevating this experience. It’s truly a Vegas gem!

We eat dinner here at least twice or three times per month as we absolutely adore Camille and Tay. The hostesses are always on point and smile and greet us when we arrive. We were a bit disappointed that the menu was changed a few months ago, but we enjoy our time here so much we order a few appetizers as dinner. We do love the soup dumplings and Har Gau - sad that crispy beef and duck are no longer with us. We love the casual atmosphere and exemplary service.

This place is quite a find. Was going to pass on it, but since we were staying there I walked by and looked inside and it just had a cool vibe in every way. This is high caliber Chinese food with good ingredients, not super oily and balanced flavors without being a sodium bomb. The shumai with shrimp and pork, Mongolian chicken, broccoli I choy and gai lan were my favorites. Prices are a bit on the high side, but nowadays that’s Las Vegas. Would return to try some other dishes that I saw other tables getting
