Schat's Bakery & Restaurant - Minden

We did a quick stop here on our way to mammoth. It’s a cute store. There were many selections of cake and pastries. The staff were friendly. The ham and cheese croissant was really good. The bathrooms were located in the casino which was a bit inconvenient when we had to take our littles for a bathroom break.

Absolutely the best burger in Douglas County. I have tried every burger restaurant in Douglas County over two years, and this one takes the cake.

The buns are toasted and made fresh in-house. The meat is well seasoned and juicy. They do not use cheap ingredients and their burgers are proof.

Do not be surprised if they are sold out of burgers for the day. It has happened to me on a few occasions.

I haven’t been to a Schat’s in a long time and the one in Minden, Nevada is great. Lots of fresh baked goods and breakfast burritos to be had. The wait staff is friendly and the baked goods were just as good as I remembered.

Wow, the best blueberry muffin I’ve ever had, the best almond croissant I’ve ever had, and the best apple strousdal I’ve ever had. Whoever is the baker here is a Genius.

I got the breakfast sandwich on sourdough with bacon. The sandwich was delicious and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The pastries also look amazing. I would highly recommend this cute little spot.
