The drinks at Cafe Rio used to be so good! That went away a number years ago. This location had nice employees, but the chicken was dry. The salad was still pretty good, just not up to the quality we had been used to when we lived out West years ago.
First time here, staff were friendly with me. Nearly $13 for a salad is kinda crazy since Chipotle is about $10 for their salad. The 'salsa fresca' had bubbles so I instantly skipped that. They were kinda stingy w the guac & fresca mix. I don't really understand how their pollo asada original is an extra dollar so I had the shredded chicken but it was disappointing how dry & in big chunks they were. I'd like to give this place another try another...
I love Cafe Rio and come here often however they are usually out of chicken and it isn’t always well kept or clean. Great for take out. They start tearing down the drinks about 1 hour prior to close and only serve about half the menu.
