“After the Death Valley National park hikes day, this was the restaurant to eat well and eat full. I was hungry as a wolf and was worried I will still be… not after the “Bistec ala mexicana” (grilled chopped steak with onions, tomato and pasillo pepper). The portions were beyond generous, kids even had their halves not finished.“

“The food is authentic, and outstanding. Lots of variety, and freshly made. The chips and salsa are delicious, and they don’t put salt on the chips, they’re crunchy and not greasy. The portions are good, slightly pricey, and the food is worth it.
The taco salad with Carnitas, and pastor three tacos, and rice and beans was excellent. We ordered the tamales, and Carne Asada to go, so we’d have more delicious food for dinner and lunch tomorrow. The staff is friendly, service was quick, and the food was hot.“

“We went again today and it's still great. The new pictures you see (9) are for the El Jefe on East calvada that we went to today 5/20/26 because they serve breakfast. It was wonderful, they have huevos ala Mexicana and carne asada huevos and it was wow great.“

“I pick up the food and looking for door dash usually the atmosphere is very wonderful and sometimes the people working behind the desk get a little busy but as far as the food and the service they usually have my order ready to go when I go pick it up to deliver but some of them younger people are kind of irritated I would say but other than that they do good job“
