The driver dropped our meal in the drive way and then delivered to our door, so there was dirt in our food and a mess to clean up. We couldn’t eat it and after that and because we we just had a major family death, we were very upset and worn out. Anyways, we called the restaurant and they were so kind. They offered to reimburse but we never claimed it due to the family death.Here’s the good news: We decided to order again last week and have ordered twice this week via Uber eats because it was sooo good. The ingredients are so fresh and tasty and the temperature of everything was spectacular. We always expect our food to be a little off when we order through Uber eats i.e. salad might be a little warm or wilted by the time we receive it, food might be cold, and or verging on gelatinous.THIS WAS NOT THE CASE! The Caesar salad was fresh and they even gave us enough dressing. Most places don’t. The shrimp scampi was light and delicious. The chicken Marsala was hearty and beautifully paired with the mushroom appetizer we ordered. We also order one flourless chocolate cake, which was to “die for.” Over all the price to freshness to proportions was spot on. We definitely will be going here again. I’d imagine it would be even better in person and not just through Uber eats, but the fact it was that good after delivery wait times was thrilling. Thank you for knowing how to prepare Italian food. Everything was excellent we had a party of 6 and each got a different dish and all were delicious. Deserts amazing. Met the owner Spencer and Chef Donato made us feel very welcomed. Highly
So disappointing. Our service was great our food was not. Two out of the three chicken dishes came out cold. We sent them back only to have them returned lukewarm. Mashed potatoes cold as well.. Meatballs cold in the middle Which led me to believe they were frozen. Pasta definitely not cooked al dente.

Three of us ordered chicken piccata. Two of our dinners were cold and when we let the waiter know he took them back and when he brought them out again they were warm. That was disappointing because meals should always be served at temperatures above luke warm. The piccata sauce was also lacking flavor. Another person ordered rigatoni with meatballs and the center of her meatballs was cold. Our waiter was very good and friendly; he had a super great attitude. The bruschetta was amazing!

We love the food and ambiance, however, they only have one server who also works the bar. Consequently we actually had to go get him to order dessert to go and get our checks. He is a great server, fun and professional. It isn't his fault that the owner has him doing everything.

Great and warm atmosphere… Casual attire … YOU MUST DINE AT GAMBI’s located in the SUMMERSET VILLAGE , it is open to the public !! Chef Donato is 10 stars !! What a fabulous chef and addition to Gambi’s !! Thank You Julie and Derek for such a wonderful evening !! ONE OF THE BEST RENO DINING PLACES !! EVEN BETTER THAN LAS VEGAS’ BELLAGIO !!!! The servers are great and wonderful people. But my friends and I all split a few items on the appetizers, a flatbread and a meal and it was subpar, and left much to be desired.
This was our first time at this Pirate themed Italian restaurant. My spaghetti and meatballs tasted like I was back in Italy.,my husband said his fettuccine Alfredo was better than at our usual Italian restaurant. Our ever and bartender, Carlos was great as was all the staff. We were delighted to receive a visit from Chef Donato. I think we just found our new favorite Italian restaurant.

I ordered Alfredo noodles for my son who had his wisdom teeth out and he said that sounded good to him. The restaurant is down the street from our house and had not tried it yet. The person who took my order on the phone was very pleasant and friendly. When I got the food the sauce was extremely thick and the pasta was a bit on the raw side of al dente . I cut it all up w kitchen shears into tiny pieces so he could eat it. The seasoning of the sauce was very good but the consistency was too off-putting. I would like to give this place another chance.

We had an outstanding dining experience here. The food was excellent, and service was friendly. It was a marked improvement from the last time we were here. I highly recommend Gambi's to anyone!

Starting this out positive. Food was excellent! The atmosphere was good. The service was completely aweful. When we arrived, they did not have our reservation we made online or after we called to confirm. Took 45 min to have our order taken. There were only 3 other tables in the restaurant. Another 45 minutes for our food. But like I said, the food was amazing. Amazing enough to wait an hour and a half.....no......
