To us, it seemed link an "old school," family run, authentic Italian restaurant. The food and service were excellent. We are not from the area and did not realize it was next door to the Pioneer Center and very crowded when events are scheduled there. At 6:30, when we arrived, the place was packed. Shortly after 7:00 all but a couple of tables left, presumably to see the show next door. We would recommend the restaurant to anyone, though you may want to avoid the crowds...
My lasagna and my mother in laws special were excellent. Unfortunately my wife's shrimp scampi had some bites that had extra pepper and made it tough for her to finish. She picked off the pepper as best she could. Our service was excellent as always. She will stay away from the scampi in the future.
Have been coming here for years- don't know if the regular chef was off , but the food was not good. The Caesar salad had no garlic or Parmesan, and the veal Marsala had no Marsala!!Not to mention that they do not serve focaccia anymore-Just sourdough baguette
