Incredible experience... Scratch made Latin/Mexican food. Amazing service... Great drinks and a beautiful, modern layout in this location. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... Reno had some amazing Mexican restaurants, but this just became my new favorite. Check out the wild shrimp Molcajete I got. Incredible. Try this place...

My partner and I went to eat brunch at Mari Chuy’s on Christmas Eve, and it was an exceptional experience! I’ve been longing to take him to this restaurant for a while, but our timing was always off, so we were so excited to have brunch. Given that it was Christmas Eve, it was pretty quiet when we got there and then saw several large parties come in after us. Our server, Alexis, was warm, attentive, and efficient. From one server to another, he was fantastic! We ordered the chips and salsa with the refritos to start, and it was so delicious my partner drank the remaining salsa after he ate all the chips. I had a spicy pineapple margarita from their list of house cocktails, and it was beautifully crafted and well balanced. Not shown, my partner and I also ordered the molé chicken enchilada and the al pastor tacos. As self-described taco aficionados, they were some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, certainly the best in the city (value for what you get). When the bill came, we were stuffed and were expecting a bill of $80+. So, we were pleasantly surprised when we saw the bill was only about $60. If you’re looking for a family friendly lively restaurant with top-notch service, you can’t do better. It was a fantastic experience and we will be back soon. My mouth still waters for those delicious tacos.

If you’re looking for good tequila this place is great. If you’re looking for good food. This is not the place for good authentic Mexican food. Guacamole tastes old and store bought. Salsa is bland. I ordered the fish tacos which were 90% pico de gallo and 10% the fish. The Mexican food craving was not satisfied.Service was also not great. We had a reservation and the table was sat at a terrible angle so that we had to move to allow the waiter to get to the table behind us each time. Once our food came out the waitress didn’t check on us until food was gone. No offerint for a refill of our drinks even though they’d been empty.I’d been here a while back and loved it so was very disappointed in this visit.

Went for lunch. Atmosphere is very nice. The waitress could have taken our order much sooner, but was too busy talking to other staff with her back to the patrons. I ordered the al pastor torta. Although the flavor was good, the portion had very little meat and resembled the size of a slider. Surprisingly, it didn't come with any sides, not even a few chips, and cost $16. While I'm willing to pay for quality, this left me feeling taken advantage of. I won't be returning.

This was my first visit to Mari Chuy's at Rancharrah. Mexican food is not always my first choice (lived close to Mexican border for 8 years, had my fill to last a lifetime). But my friend wanted to go here, so we went. Was delighted with the atmosphere. Very modern, unlike their downtown location. Since it was lunch and had some driving to do, we opted for Virgin Marguaritas .. I had a Blackberry .. it was delicious .. would have been amazing if I actually had so Tequila in it.We share a Guacamole & Chips .. delicious fresh made guac. And we shared a Torta .. basically a Mexican Sandwich. We opted for Roasted Port with, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickled jalapenos. Unfortunately they forgot the jalapenos, but didn't matter, they put avacado on it and it was delicious.I kind of think I'd like to go back another time, been a long time since I had a good quesadilla .. I;ll bet it good here.

Great restaurant with authentic Mexican food and drinks. The owner Chuy is so charismatic and he really cares about his product. I think that he sets the tone for this family owned restaurant. We loved the location, the ambiance, and the vibes here. So far we have loved every dish especially the tacos. If you are looking for something lighter. The ceviche was fresh and beautiful. The margaritas are made with love and you can tell that this is a house made mix and not something that was shipped to them. If you are feeling adventurous, ask for the drink with the cricket!

I have eaten at the location in downtown. Reno and I always loved it. I was happy to see that the menu at this location was a little different. The food was so good. I was telling my girlfriend this is the best food I’ve had and I can’t remember how long. The staff was on top of it and very friendly. We will definitely be coming back soon. The elote ?

I had high hopes for this place, but was sadly disappointed. Very overpriced for mediocre food. For two adults, we spent $160 for drinks, two appetizers, and an entree each. The service was okay and a bit slow at times even when it was slow at the restaurant. The coconut margarita was dangerously delicious, you couldn't really taste the alcohol. The Jalapeno Margarita was super spicy, it wasn't my favorite. I also ordered a Mezcal margarita and it was $20! They charge you for the shot of Mezcal and then charge you an extra $2 to make it a margarita. It definitely wasn't worth it. Neither was the $13 bland tasting Michelada, I couldn't even finish it and that is very unlike me. We ordered the chips and salsa trio, both were good. We also tried the House Special Queso Fundido, probably the best thing I ate here. The queso and the chorizo complimented each other perfectly. For dinner we had the fish tacos with the smallest little portion of rice and beans I've ever seen at a Mexican restaurant. It was okay, but not the best. The chicken and potato taquitos were a bit on the overcooked side and had more toppings then filling and were pretty small. I wouldn't recommend. Overall, I don't plan to return anytime soon. The outdoor vibe is cool. We enjoyed the patio seating. The coconut Margarita and the queso fundido was the best part of our meal. Everything else including the service was just okay and mediocre. Definitely not a personal favorite.
