We are regulars at Stoney Head brewing. Brad is usually pouring beers when we are there and we absolutely love him. He knows the beer like the back of his hand and always has something fun to talk about. He also makes sure that your popcorn bowl is never empty. I often times have to stop myself from having popcorn for dinner when I'm there. There is a growler membership that we are a part of and we love it! Membership comes with a stainless steel growler which gives you $1 off all beers that you drink when you are there. It's a great place for us to show and treat our friends. Membership also comes with unlimited growler fill. Unlimited!!! We come in after work, fill up the growler, have it with dinner then come back the next day and fill again. It's amazing and has really helped us with our beer budget! The membership can be shared within the household so it is a really great deal to fill my boyfriend and I's beer needs. We are currently over lapping this year and next year's membership so we have two growlers that we can fill at a time! Come at me, beer belly! :) You can bring outside food in, and there is also a grill that you can use in the summertime if you BYOM. There are some games so it is a great place to bring a group of friends. They offer a good selection of there staple beers and also have a rotating selection throughout the seasons. The place is a bit hard to find but once you find it, it is well worth it. Make sure you look for their signs. The co owner is really nice and will describe the beers to you. He is very knowledgeable and will find a beer that you will like. I love their beers.

Criss-crossing Reno, I always try to stop here often to check out the constantly changing brews, especially since they have some on the higher ABV side that I like. The "Beer Professor" educates me on their new styles and techniques of their brews. The different barrels that the beers are aged in are special. Lots of popcorn and good conversation.

We went to Reno to celebrate our anniversary. We googled a few breweries and wondered upon Stoneyhead on a Saturday afternoon! The gentleman behind the counter, I can't remember his name, was very welcoming! He let us sample all the beers, explained all of them in detail, served us popcorn and watched/laughed with us as we attempted to play darts. Overall, excellent experience and great beer choices!

Awesome selection of beers, that although not low or super high IBU are surprisingly great beers for those that don't enjoy overtly hoppy ales. In other words, for drinkers who actually enjoy beer that doesn't rip their face of this is the place to go. They have lots of blends, but I recommend being creative they'll let you try anything.
